UEFA Champions League changes

Would be fucking expensive. What city can reasonably host hundreds of thousands of fans from four teams?

Paris is already expensive as fuck, granted there'll be some rooms crop up when Madrid (or us) go out, but it's OTT already.

You’re right. I was just thinking of the ‘spectacle’. Would be awkward for the match going fan who wants to attend both games and very expensive.

The changes have been planned for ages, and a rumour just added which isn't happening.

The football authorities make all the right noises about the importance of fans but the reality is we (fans) don’t register as important with them.
Wherever top level footy is played the grounds can probably be filled. This proposal would look like a half way house to a club World Cup. this already exists in one form with the ludicrous Club World Championship.
What better way for those currently in power at UEFA to scupper current plans to globalise the game like the plans for a bi-annual World Cup
Top level football will eat itself.

Im not going to fall for the click bait article but the headline says recent Man City and Liverpool ‘thrillers.’ Really the dippers game was that?
I think the 'festival of football' and one legged semi finals will actually be being driven by the clubs, not UEFA. As we all know, whilst the authorities don't give a toss about the fans neither do ANY of the clubs, however much people wish they did...

Probably in the minority, on here at least, but I think the 10 different oponents in a league will be far more interesting than the groups stages we have now, and an inprovement.

Shite idea but be interesting to see how they work the ticket details if you win the semi but are stuck in a foreign country with only three days to the game. Likely it would have to be mobile tickets but still a lot of pfaffing about in a short space of time especially if our ticket office is involved in it.
