Well that rule be thrown out next season!

There was reports last night that the premier are going to introduce a wage cap and it will go of what the bottom team in the premier league turn over is times four! So most teams being bottom of the league with the money in the premier it be well over 100m so the annual wage cap be capped at around 400m.

This yet again is the yanks influence to English football! They’ll keep chipping at our game till they get what they want..

They can't compete financially so they'll do everything in their power to swing it in their favour again.

The system benefits the brand. It is a brand. Fans and clubs not part of that brand's history will struggle to break into it. The qualifying rounds of said brand are more for show. Look at the percentage of domestic champions entering the group stage versus those who finshed 2nd to 4th, and even 5th... The branded Cash League is not a competition for Welsh, Irish or Lithuanian clubs. It isn't buit to allow progress.

Not quite true, English league football had a maximum wage for around 60 years, though the top clubs invariably found ways around it, for example players getting "jobs" with club directors' companies (an Arsenal speciality in the 1930s apparently).

The 5 year table is used for seeding.

The 10 year table is controversially used for allocation of 30% of the CL money and also includes a figure going all the way back to when European competition started. The history clubs argued they should get more money from TV and threatened a breakaway. This was the compromise and then they went for the Super League anyway.
