Yes, this is it for them, all or nothing. Their interpretation of this "evidence" has been the basis of this outcome, obviously cajoled by the usual suspects. Someone is going to look pretty stupid at the end of this.City and UEFA are playing poker.
One of them is holding a pair of two's and we don't know what the other has.
We also don't know which one of them is the one with the pair of two's - could even be both of them.
UEFA have just gone 'all in'
You are right, but Pep was assured by Khaldoon that we had done nothing wrong. If we lose the appeal: Pep walks, senior execs sacked.
I don't read the Athletic but I do think though that UEFA have probably changed their position during the process and that they reported in good faith. The delays in the UEFA hearings and outcome do suggest an internal wrangle.Good post
Regarding The Athletic, just look at who are their owners. I wouldn’t give them the skin off my piss.
Says the Manc in London
Yep. York away will be fun. How will they fit in our 40,000?
Fucking ingrates. Whilst we're considering FFP in all.its guises, let's have a look at who would have won the Premier League in the last 20 years if City hadn't come along to disrupt the cartel.
2000/1- united
2001/2 - Arsenal
2002/3 - united
2003/4 - Arsenal
2004/5 - Chelsea
2005/6 - Chelsea
2006/7 - united
2007/8 - united
2008/9 - united
2009/10 - Chelsea
2010/11 - united
2011/12 - united
2012/13 - united
2013/14 - liverpool
2014/15 - Chelsea
2015/16 - Leicester (God bless 'em)
2016/17 - Chelsea
2017/18 - united
2018/19 - liverpool
2019/20 - liverpool
Most competitive league in the world ? Essentially, without us 20 years of the same 4 Champions League clubs divvying up the title every year except one. And without sustained investment Leicester were fucked.
The Premier League should be down on bended knee thanking us for saving their shit show of a rigged "competition".
The worry is we are going up against an institute which has been around for years .we will not be seen to win even though we are right . We will probably take a year ban which in the scheme of things is not too bad . Pep will see his contract out but not sign another which maybe is a good thing for us . I’m more bothered about what the owners think of it .I think we've lost tbh. The cartel have won. No matter the appeals, even winning an appeal, we've lost. The destruction is total.
Unless we blow FFP out of the water.
The politics is disgusting though, enough to put you off.
I suspect most City fans wouldn't follow either? ;-)Agreed, especially the Liverpool Echo and john aldridge.
