Project, would CAS have also asked how UEFA and the AC arrived at their figure of a £30m fine?

Nobody seems to have questioned what their calculation/justification was?

I suppose I am asking in terms of whether we can show any type of motive/bias on that score?

Possibly as part of any consideration on proportionality. But I think we have a hopeless case on that too if UEFA succeed as CAS would, effectively, be agreeing with UEFA that City should a) never have had the 2014 settlement b) didn't actually come out of the settlement regime and therefore were not entitled to the return of the suspended €40m when they did.

Their calculations were based on how many UEFA delegates would be on their annual champions league final jamboree, champagne doesn’t just pay for itself and how many 50k watches they have to purchase for the following 12 months associated bribes...

He knows no more than your average fan. Before the ban he was writing that he had heard we weren't getting a ban.
Perhaps Sam has been swayed after his Zoom chat with Delaney and his corrupt pals. Imagine talking to people like McGeehan and Delaney to "get your head straight" on FFP and sportswashing. Still waiting to see his story.

Expect it to hit a day following the outcome if we don’t get banned.

The man is a bollock and people should not be asking him for his opinion on anything.
It follows his other big revelation yesterday that Bayern would make a low offer to City and pay a big signing on fee to Leroy. No shit sherlock. Thats almost as good as Simon Stone's exclusive from the weekend that "Bayern Munich want Sane." It will be a close call for the Purlitzer Prize this year.

I did suggest on Twitter that Sam might want to give his views on EM’s recent tweets about City when the Why Always Us podcast were online asking for ideas they could cover on their latest episode.
No response, funnily enough ...

Time to close the thread and look forward to clocking up some new grounds in League 2 - Sam reckons the ban will be upheld:

Good to see the Athletics Manchester City reporter getting behind the club!

Would we see their other reporters reporting consistently negative information regarding their respective clubs? My guess is no, just a special treat for City.

As for joining the zoom call with the fùckwits mentioned above, he has to be trolling City even mentioning such a call.

Anyhow he started of promising but now appears to be just another cùnt in the press reporting on us, well done Sam.

I suspect that Sam, having been burned once on this case, is playing safe this time round. Far more sensible in his shoes to say he expects a ban than say he expects CAS to throw the case out.
No, he should have finished his response after the first two words, “ NO IDEA”. This guy is a fucking clown

Yes he's lost any credibility he had, especially after saying we weren't getting a ban then BOOM two year ban.

I remember months ago when he was asked a FFP-related question on Twitter, he said it wasn’t his domain but someone like Nick Harris would be better placed to answer!

I wasn’t aware of that Zoom chat - fancy getting involved with the **** Avengers ffs.

He's a prick.

I can't remember him revealing anything I didn't already know through my own contacts or through the well-informed posters on this forum. Many say he's a nice person and he may well be, but I don't rate him as a journalist.
