Graham Souness at his glorious best, I have nothing but 100% respect for this man, has and always been the finest football pundit and a wonderful footballer.

Suppose it does help that his wife is a big Blue, but he always stands our corner as a pundit, I like him as he always talks sense.

CTID

I love that response, not just from souness but from the whole panel. Especially as the anchor wanted a different narrative

it isn’t the fact that they were in our corner, the main point is that they get what uefa and the cabal have done to football

Any background please on this spy business ? @FCBarca

Barca are mired in financial improproiety, the last president rosell was in jail at one point for fruad though was aquitted is still under investigation, the present president has been making overtures to bring Pep back for months on the sly and was also implicated in the neymar tax fiddle.

Think Pep is just saying don' t throw stones when I know how bent you are

not just that. The presidency at Barcelona is coming up for renewal. And apparently the club has employed an agency to spy on his opponent to dig up dirt on him

“The company was hired to create a positive image for Bartomeu and other board of directors. According to the program, Barcelona have confirmed the hiring of this company and this scandal may not die down anytime soon.”

“Meanwhile, former candidate for the Catalan club’s presidency Agustí Benedito has claimed he will file a lawsuit against Bartomeu and he wants answers for this scandal in court.“

I think enough information has come out that we can already take a stab at what happened or at least Citys version of it.

The out of context emails say ADUG paid for Etihad which would be breaking FFP. We now know thanks to @Prestwich_Blue that this is not what actually happened and the executive council paid - fine by FFP.

Leterme has a history of ignoring evidence he doesn't like without justification. This is known from the PSG case where he ignored independent valuation to benefit PSG despite the objections of the other people on the investigatory panel.

If ADUG did not pay the sponsorship this would be recorded in bank statements/transfers which would be conclusive and "irrefutable"

Soriano says that the CFCB relied more on the out of context emails than anything the club gave them.

A possible narrative is forming about what happened in the IC.

But what are the AC doing in all this? Why did they rubber stamp it if it's so easily overturned at CAS, which it would be if that's what happened.
Because in their eyes, we're a state-owned club using state money to fund sponsorships. The source of those funds doesn't much matter as far as they're concerned.

Legally, of course, there's a big difference between the money coming from ADUG or from the Executive Council, but it all looks and feels the same to them (and the whinging set of bastards from Bayern, Barcelona, United, etc. who have no doubt been egging them on).

So, they've sought to cause as much reputational damage to City as possible, in the hope that some of it sticks even after CAS overrule them.

Fair play to simon stone

Also mention why external media didn't take the Ferran interview

Is it me or has there been a bit of a sea change in the media coverage over the last 24 hours? Perhaps a few have woken up to the fact that nothing is as clear cut as they would like it to be.

Because the 2 chambers are one. The one that should represent independence, doesn’t.
Maybe the chairman of the AC
José Narciso da Cunha Rodrigues
A prominent human rights judge couldn’t separate his 2 jobs and got a hard on about AbuDhabi

There is not a fucking question about it and I raised this point 2 days ago.

How any man, with any dignity and more than anything, allegiance to Manchester City FC can stand up and say there isn’t an agenda against our football club, is not a blue in my eyes. I’m sorry, but that’s how I see it.

Those people who are sitting on the fence and still trying to defend there point after what has gone on in the last week is do gooding. Simple as that. Fucking do gooders trying to prove something that doesn’t exist.

UEFA have fucked themselves here. The strength of the punishment is going to cause them some serious pain. It is the final swing of a beaten boxer.

When this is all done it will be as significant as the BOSMAN ruling and it will be clear as day the agenda that is currently in operation against this incredible football club.

We will win. And when we do it will be better for football right across the board.

The cartel will be disrupted but they will have a chance to win just like everyone else because it will be a fair and level playing field.

If they can’t stick that, then tough fucking shit
I agree with pretty much all you've said here but I'm not convinced that we want a 'fair and level playing field' after all we were part of the 'cartel' of six teams that had an 'agenda' of reducing solidarity payments from UEFA to the rest of the teams in the league. We definitely want a level playing field with Liverpool, Barca, Munich, etc but we don't want Everton, West Ham or Newcastle to have a 'level playing field' with us.
That's why I don't think we'll make any effort to remove FFP when this is all over, why would our management team want to invite any more competition than we already have?
I really can't get angry about somebody at Barcelona saying they'd like us to be banned, if I saw half a chance then I'd love Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, Liverpool, Atletico or any other semi decent team banned from the Champions League next year as is it would make it easier for to win it and make it harder for a direct rival to challenge us in the transfer market.
We need to realise that this whole battle isn't about making football fairer for all teams, it's about fighting for what's best for us.
