Not like you to put a downer on things, mate! :-)

It’s not intended to be a downer GDM. Just a reflection that complacency is our enemy, and that anything that seems too good to be true should be viewed with additional suspicion, which I’m sure the club is doing. As regards the info yesterday - and I’m not intentionally dissing PB’s source - it seems inconceivable to me that the AC would opt to go into bat with such a preposterously weak hand. I hope it’s true, but do you think they would be that daft?

Don't agree. Seems obvious to me they must be if by 'doctored' we mean set in a false context intended to misrepresent their true meaning and with key identifiers and timelines removed to enable that construction. For example their crucial misidentification of the "HH" referred to in Pearce's email.

If they had been doctored, City would happily have provided the true mails showing how unreliable they were. City would also have said that on day one. It would have put a completely different complexion on the reporting by De Spiegel. But you are, of course, entitled to your opinion.

You have to be cocky and say - f course we cheated FFP. Ae'll do it again. Cheating FFP is humanity thing.

That's my response "yeah we probably did.. I hope we go spend another billion or buy a few clubs and start winding them up until the prem and UEFA sort their shit out".

Obv mean none of the winding up shit, but the whole point of the discussion from opposing fans is to try wind us up, so it just shuts it down straight away.

Whilst, on the face of it, it would seem unlikely, they lose at CAS so often, it wouldn’t be a complete surprise...
