Hope so but it sounds to me like they’re going to punish us but let other clubs get away with what we’ve done in the future

This is probably the master plan already in place. Severely hit us for two years, then change the rules and watch others leave us behind. Massive investment then pumped into our rivals with impunity. Like big business these scrotes think two or three steps ahead.

One thing that's telling about the press coverage of the entire episode is that there's been no consideration given at any stage to the idea that we might have exploited loopholes in the rules and not broken them. This seems to me to be one possible explanation for UEFA and City taking completely different stances over this.

But the media view is that we're a state-owned club that has benefitted from state funding and that's how the court of public opinion sees it, too. There's potentially a significant difference between ADEC funding our Abu Dhabi sponsorships and ADUG footing the bill, because the former is arguably (depending on the interpretation of IAS 24) within the rules and the latter isn't, but most journalists and rival fans I've seen expressing a view seem not to give a toss about the distinction. We'll be seen as guilty and getting off an a technicality if that's what emerges in the end.

That's the "scare" story they keep pushing. The problem is they can't explain why it's so scary. City's revenues are comparable with the other top clubs in England(obv not even the highest) and since the ADUG takeover net spend on transfers is approx £90m per season. Many clubs could afford to do that they just don't want to or spend very badly. The real threat is that we operate on an equal financial footing with the rest of the top 6 but just do it smarter, that's what's really hurting them and media smears seems to be the only weapon they have since they're (hopefully) no longer hacking City computers.

Who cares!

If the entire competition is suspended, there are probably only two clubs in the whole of Europe who will have the finances to take advantage.
Exactly, who honestly cares stupid statement.
This is how I read it.

Alongside Sorriano coming out and saying some elements of UEFA are ok, and the FFP chamber is separate.

Together with Tariq Panja's tweet about his "surprise" that some FFP positions have not been filled.

It's all pointing towards Ceferein being on our side.

It wouldn't surprise me if UEFA don't even send legal council to the CAS hearing. They have form for it.

The whole purpose of this "ban" was so some shit would stick and further damage our reputation. Unfortunately, it's job done on that. But I'm getting more confident by the day that we'll get this ban overturned.
I want blood never mind ban just over turned, our club has been hung out to dry when they know fine well we would have the best lawyers & evidence behind us.

We have been hung up like a game of pinata & every fucker bar Samuel has give City a good spanking

Even if we win for me just having it overbturned isn't enough, I want to see a public apology by every fucking 1 of them inc Parry, Gill , Tebas, Rumminegger, Ferdinand, Jenas, Sutton, The list is endless

I want it to explode & they dont come anywhere near us again

Pep & players sign new contracts, After that I want to see us go & blow 500m in the Summer & watch them sulk

My point is there would be no war if the regulators were banned from running tournaments. UEFA would no longer enjoy a vast income and, if the elite threatened to found their own tournament, let them go. In most other fields regulators are small organizations with no skin in the game. The clubs would still be regulated by UEFA.
Clubs can only be regulated by UEFA in UEFA competition. Reason why FFP is not applied in national leagues except for PL who has adopted their own FFP.

The big clubs would just partner with whoever makes the suitable tournament for them and UEFA would disappear due to its irrelevance. The Laws of the game are maintained by the International Football Association Board and FIFA is the governing body. If the clubs decide to break away, UEFA is only left with the "Euros" and Nations league.
