Obviously.

I think they actually want us in, but only on their terms, which we don't agree with, that's why the punishment is severe, its more of "how dare you challenge us, we'll show you". I think that is why he came to negotiate, we said "no thanks" and we are where we are now.

Lets just hope we win at CAS, because anything else is going to be terrible for football, and clubs from smaller countries like Slovenia, will never play at the top level again, nor will Everton, Leicester, Wolves, even Spurs, that is a terrible prospect for football isn't it ?

You may be right and I agree that we have to beat them either at CAS or through a challenge in the courts. The pigs at the trough cannot be allowed to rule UEFA as they currently do.

There is another possibility?

Bareda lied to PB about Cerefin attempting to broker a compromise?

I'm still aghast that a senior executive of ours would divulge any such info at a fan meeting.

Especially so, when we are accusing Uefa of leaking delicate info, no?

Something doesn't add up.

We obviously have precedent with Infantino, however.
Maybe it was just in confidence to PB not to the whole group - why would he lie though?

Not a problem at all - once we've been 'put in our place' they'll just change the rules to suit them

It seems that way ! but why do the 100s of clubs across Europe sit back and allow 14 clubs to dictate everything and steal most of the revenue?

Few have the financial clout to take them on , and probably frightened of the consequences of a failed attempt ?

As tolmie just posted , better to take a smaller cut than Fuck all .

It always been a stitch up dont get the optism on here

Hope I'm wrong though and we smash the corrupt twats

If we win it makes us very popular with a lot of other clubs imho, its highly likely that Leicester will have a second chance in the CL, same with Atalanta (perhaps finishing ahead of Roma again), RB Leipzig etc, lets hope they see us as allies down the line ?

Cerefin looks compromised. The fact he turned up to two consecutive games really does look like there was an active discussion. The severity of our punishment also looks like an overreaction - I.e. an organisation that’s been told to fuck off when they’ve offered a way out. Whatever the intricacies of this case - City seem bullish and it’s UEFA that seem to be seeking to shore up its position.
