I don’t know either, but he does own the company we were being accused of funnelling the money through.

Which, in my opinion, is exactly why he wouldn’t say a word. This isn’t a criminal court and City being banned is one thing but it coming out that the national airline is a front would do untold damage

Where Etihad get their money from is irrelevant. The deal is in line with similar across football and there would be no way on earth they would open their books to UEFA, under any circumstances

Either way. I think we will be doing the Carlito Brigante at 10am on Monday - “Free at last, free at last!”

The future of FFP has absolutely nothing to do with this. City have already been prosecuted for these ‘offences’, these are trumped up charges unless of course City are as bent as a 9 Bob note. Which I doubt

If this is thrown out, FFP will still exist. I imagine City are quite happy with FFP now as it stops competition

The guy currently running UEFA has distanced himself from this matter(from memory). So with that, the settlement agreement, UEFA’s own rules which time bar them from prosecuting and that City surely can’t be this wrong on their specialist subject, I expect City to win
In last week's interview with Gab Marcotti (a proper journalist) Ceferin stressed that FFP was being modified to allow more investment from owners. In fact he said work on the new rules was under way but they were not yet ready to go public with the details. FFP is here to stay and will be improved.

Have you ever watched evidence being given? This was a 3 day hearing - that is very short. Amanda Staveley was cross examined for at least 8 days on her own in the recent trial.

The CAS announcement mentioned teams in London and experts elsewhere. Allowing for submissions when exactly are we to believe this procession of royalty and others were cross examined? And why was verbal evidence required? The documents should have been sufficient. In short, I don't believe any of these individuals gave evidence. I'm not even convinced anyone gave witness evidence - seems unlikely to me. We shall see.

Perhaps written statements might be admissible?
