Fair point. It was more to do with him being a Liverpool apologist and the sheer volume of red supporting Irishmen there are or seem to be. I appreciate I was guilty of generalising somewhat although there is data which does suggest that you are much more likely to bump into a red shirt wearing fan than a blue one.
From the Irish Times: https://www.irishtimes.com/sport/so...e-club-is-most-supported-in-ireland-1.3018961

"Ireland’s favourite Premier League team is Manchester United (170,000 Facebook followers), ahead of Liverpool (157,500 followers). Next up are Chelsea, followed by Arsenal and then fellow London club Tottenham.

Another London side, West Ham are next, ahead of Manchester City and a surprise inclusion in Crystal Palace. Everton are ninth, while the 10th most supported club is Hull City."
No sweat. My reposte was very much tongue in cheek.
There's more Red heads over here than you can swing a Hurley at.

You have to be so suspicious when the leak to the media about a possible CL ban comes the day after our title win...ManU mentioned by Martin Samuel as the possible source. It's also great to read a newspaper article with good things being said about City for a change. City doing the treble is just fantastic...come on City!!!!.

Excellent again from Martin Samuel, he had it sussed years back. Makes you laugh, everything UEFA does is for money, 4 teams in the....er…..'Champions' League being the most obvious just in case one of their little darling, debt-ridden and corrupt clubs misses out on being the real Champs. Pathetic bunch of cronies

Fair point, as I have explained in a more recent post. Your criticism was somewhat justified but did it really need the 'is it genetically impossible for him/her not to put a little more thought into posts' line?
Xenophobia? Absolutely not. Stereotyping? Quite probably.
" should put a little more thought into future posts if that's not genetically impossible for him/her" was the line used by me and does appear to have been justified now that you have acknowledged that criticism of your comment was "somewhat justified". It was you who made the original reference to genetics and it appears it was somewhat ok for you to use it but not for me to return it. Stereotyping ? Yes. Stereotyping nationalities ? Sometimes a euphemistic cloak for xenophobia, yes. However I accept that it was not your intention to be xenophobic but it is worth remembering we are all Blues, we can all see a blue moon,no matter where we are born or located.
