There's no direct link to City/UEFA, but it surely must mean that Khelaifi is at least suspended from UEFA Exec.

More likely to be promoted now hes got a criminal charge on his CV

I'd say there's next to zero chance of that happening. It's being seen by our owners as an insult to their honour and that, for them, is the ultimate insult.

It's a bit more complicated, I think. Tebas was railing against Khelaifi's election at the time, I think, and PSG are as bad in the G14 eyes as City. I think they'll be very happy that BeIN might get a kicking.

More curious is that the ECA appointed someone under criminal investigation at the time. That raised a few questions at the time.

As an unconnected note, the UEFA position he held was non-voting, but as a rep of the ECA.

How did he get the ECA position on UEFA's board? I assume it was a vote from ECA members, are the voting results available for public consumption?

Hope you don't mind but I just asked Rabin on Twitter the same questions. Ed Woodward, Edwin Van Der Sar and K-H Rumennigge are all on the ECA Executive Board.

If you were judging our case all this would definitely be on your mind if you were CAS they’re only human. The Swiss Courts would be very interested.

I beg to differ. 'Serendipitous' suggests that the outcome is somehow pleasing while 'coincidence' contains no such implication. Therefore, IMO they can legitimately be used together with the former adding to the latter to convey that the coincidence in question is a happy one.
