The club have insisted all along that the allegations are utter bollocks and given how strongly they’ve protested their innocence, I’m inclined to believe them. This is just the first attack. We will be unable to attract some target players and be labelled as cheats affecting our global appeal. Once the 2 years is up then they'll cook something else up to hit us with.

Fuck that. I'd rather risk setting up our own global league and just make the players the best paid sportsmen in the world.

UEFA must be supremely confident that they can make this stick. There is a lot of wishful thinking that CAS will overturn the ban completely but I wouldn't count on that. The legal process isn't some infallible, 100% unbiased system that always arrives at the right verdict.
