Fingers crossed it's not from somebody in a prominent position to influence anybody through his job because he sounds like a sad patronising WUM.

It's like the UK media has been taken over by angsty teenagers who think they know it all. If you dare question their authority - rather than have a discussion with you they look to ridicule. Absolute imbeciles.

Nah - no worries there mate - it's from Nick Harris

I get that Nick has been personal with some fans but Rob actually edges him for pettiness. He was the one who accused Pep of taking bungs from Abu Dhabi after the FA Cup final. He's not just being a victim in that tweet(imagine making the media a victim in this?), he's gloating at the same time. How can he even begin to claim(or any of those names that keep popping up) that he doesn't have a personal/emotional investment in this?

He believes his whole attack on City is already validated, when it is clearly not. If I remember right it was him who pettily claimed, that because City didn't repeat the words "The accusation of financial irregularities remains entirely false" immediately following the decision, that could only mean City were no longer denying it. You'd think a "journalist" has the reading comprehension to understand, not accepting the decision, calling it a prejudicial process, asking for an impartial judgement on the matter, all heavily implies they still believe they are innocent. But no "Ah see, they're admitting it!" some exclaimed.

Less than a week later, it was spelled out for him and everyone else, who were clutching at straws with that omitted quote. Soriano even gave a hint, why not much was said in the club statement that immediately followed UEFA's. He needed to take legal advice about how much he can say before the CAS hearing. It also brought to his attention, the irrefutable evidence that has been ignored, which was said back in June 2019's statement, not something made up since Friday. He dismissed it in a response tweet, based off the fact that he hasn't seen it. What evidence has he seen from UEFA though? Other than the out of context emails?

It seems that way on the surface doesn't it? But UEFA aren't stupid, however corrupt they are. I doubt they'd have started this unless they felt sure they would come out on top.
If they are as competent as you claim what about all their failed cases, due to incompetence? Such as missing their own deadlines because they forgot about them.

It's the fact that they're not willing to engage with any of the evidence put forward to them by members of this forum that has really been noticeable. The complete ignorance of facts put to them points to bias and laziness. Stefan's blog when put to Delaney is the prime example. If Stefan is wrong, tell us why he is wrong. It's too much like hard work and unwanted work for Delaney.

In my naive youth I used to think that people who wrote for newspapers were well-informed, intelligent scholars. What we're seeing now is that they're actually, for the most part, spoilt, arrogant, out of touch, petty, vindictive, glorified gobshites with a slightly better vocabulary than a Twitter troll. Many of them just got lucky rolling into a job with more perks and better pay than people have with twice the intelligence level. They occupy the unmerited pedestal alongside politicians. Why?

Then you have David Conn who, when given the evidence, struggles with basic concepts like differentiating between ADUG and ADEC. He's turned journalism into "churnalism" and his journalistic integrity is suffering as a result.

If nothing else, this saga has exposed the visceral hatred of City. When all this is over, never forget who said what about our club.
Said that last week. Why don't they come on here and have a rational discussion with us. The mods could set up a thread and the mods would be involved to cut out any abuse. It can't be worse than Twitter. We know they read this forum and in particular this thread so come and talk to us

if Twitter didn't exist i doubt a lot people would have even heard of most of these dickheads....

Thank you a lot.

Yeah, i see everyone saying Leterme agreed with PSG valuation but there is no one able to tell you the actual number. I come with articles, graphs showing numbers but i'm still waiting for people to prove their claims with the damn number. Panja, himself, isn't able to show anything. Quite troubling. People think PSG didn't get any sanction but in my book PSG got an huge financial sanction : They remove 51 M€ of our revenue stream per annum according to L'Equipe. In a 3 years cycle, it is a 150 M€ financial sanction. It is a gigantic financial hole. And that LFC supporter working at Octagon is actually thinking the same way:

About Panja, he is actually right about Neymar and Mbappé being purchased the same year though. It is not a mistake by him. At least when it comes to FFP. UEFA FFP decided that the clause inserted in the contract to make it a permanent transfer was not fit for a loan with option to buy : Mbappé transfer would be permanent if PSG wasn't relegated. As a consequence, Mbappé was put into the FFP books the same year as Neymar.

The only reason Mbappé was loaned out was to allow Monaco to get the money the following year and because PSG had already paid Neymar cash.

What the article written by Panja doesn't tell you in order to misguide you is that the period covered by the investigation of PSG account was for the years before Neymar and Mbappé even considered to come to PSG (3 year cycle). They tried to make us fail FFP for the 3 year period when we had not even bought those players for 400 M. This is why they wanted us to terminate QTA (which we did), so that we would have no other choice but sell Neymar or Mbappé.

Thankfully, the strategy of buying those superstars to raise the brand and find new non related party sponsors paid off. I see the same with City and Etihad for example. It was used to kickstart the project and now City is looking for a new sponsor who will provide 60 M+. I think it is highly probable because Puma pays the same sort of money that Nike is paying us. There is no reason City can't replace Etihad for a lucrative deal.

I'm confident for City because i can't imagine FFP and the lobby behind it winning this fight. Would be a terrible proof of protectionism in this sport.

To add further more information about PSG and FFP, the french club is still at the limits of the boundaries currently with both Neymar and Mbappé on its account. Neymar (222) and Mbappé (135) are worth 72 M per annum without their wages. Neymar is on additional 60 M wage annually and i don't remember Mbappé but at around 20 M+. To validate their FFP, PSG needs to go in quarters or semi finals or they'll have to sell some fringe players or find a new sponsor to balance the book.

@SebastianBlue any chance of a PSG thread?

Now boys and girls. Let's play a game. I'm going to show you an email I've received and you have to guess who it's from.
Hi Colin,

Your conspiracy theories are routinely a source of wry amusement among those outside the narrow band of City fans who feed off each's paranoia. Did you see last year that even Stu Brennan went public on Twitter to say your "toolkit / goalposts" nonsense was something that even he didn't believe! Pretty embarrassing stuff.

As for the notion that myself "and others" are part of a group who "coordinate their attacks" on City ... you have lost any semblance of plot you had left, IF you believe that. You can be as deeply angered about (wholly) imagined plots against you, or indeed City, as you like. That's your prerogative. But you're getting unnecessarily wound up over stuff that only exists in your head.

For a long time I felt you were a sensible and civil fan, able to look with a properly critical eye at City and of course as we discussed over a period, you were also able to acknowledge City wrong-doings. Propagating garbage about journalists, privately or otherwise, indicates something has driven you over the edge. I'd be happy to talk to you if you have any questions about how this has happened, about journalistic process, about any of it.

But maybe calm down first. Because ranty lying emails are just going to get you laughed at, not listened to.

Whoever it is has absolutely no sense of irony of self awareness.

I dont think this will be done by end of May. Which puts the 5th place team in a bit of limbo around May not knowing if they have EL or CL to play for from September. Whoever finishing 5th will pray for us to get banned. Kind of hope though it is Sheffield or Wolves.
Or 4th Wolves, 5th Sheffield. :DD
They’ll know well before then.

You`re being far too sensible about the whole episode.A polite FUCK OFF to him, would suffice.

Twat still managed to bulldoze the press officer to ask his question, should have been told to shut up or leave of he can't understand a basic request.

p.s you dumb ****, that was not a football related question.
Yeah he was to weak there,he should have zero questions on it,even now he has finally piped up he still is weaker than an old lady trying to fight her way out of a wet paper bag
