That's a very fair point, perhaps I am being overly cynical.

Could be being cynical, as I cannot speak for you, but I think its natural to think worst case scenario. The consequences are huge and for me one or two year ban would be a disastrous conclusion.

Not sure what you expect to find in the thread today though , apart from speculation, based on whether the club know or not. At this stage though it’s more than likely they do.
Would be interesting to know whether there is any history of CAS, officially or otherwise, giving advance notice of their judgement to appellants.

No, a 1-2 year ban would be a fucking pain in the arse and set us back a few years. For 'huge consequences' and 'disastrous conclusion' please google peter swales, alan ball and york away.

The whole settlement process is seen by UEFA as a second chance. City did not accept they breached but that is not relevant to CAS especially where we are considering the scenario where they have found in UEFAs favour. Of course you are entitled to disagree.
I don't necessarily disagree. But my point was that there are a number of scenarios that might pan out. No way to know until tomorrow.

Disheartened? Erm you are the one who claimed (and I am quoting): 1) football is corrupt at just about every level 2) the CAS panel are susceptible to pressure 3) with most of life, money wins 4) City are guilty of at best bending the rules, at worst breaking them 5) City will only 'win' on a point of procedure

You do indeed seem Happy, happy

Oh dear, read it again. The salient point is 'football is corrupt at just about every level', a fact that cannot be argued against, and I note that you sensibly haven't tried.

To quote individual cases where corruption did not take place is not an appropriate response to 'at every level', it would only be an appropriate response if I had said 'football is entirely corrupt' which I didn't.

4th is online the line for them, which as we know is huge. Anyway I pretty much agree with you, I just said sometimes I do wonder especially watching the very strange decision the other night. We see incompetence every week in the premier league but that was just bizarre.

There are some terrible decisions each and every week in the Prem. I think sometimes we choose to focus on them only when they favour our nearest rivals.

I don't need to mate, I lived through them all and was a season ticket holder for the duration.

It would be a disastrous conclusion based on modern day City, pointless arguing otherwise.

Ooooooooooooooooo. You have hurt my feelings.I wont sleep tonight through all worry of having a big nasty slap on the wrists from BDW.
I`ll put you down as a flapper then.
A flapper as opposed to a happy clapper Oakie? Like many things, I would say that it's probably somewhere towards the middle ground.
For my part I am nervous about tomorrow but I am not flapping, just not certain of the outcome. Certainly hoping for the best though.

Haha, the day we can't have a pointless argument on BM it's time to log out.

I think a lot of City fans are underestimating the potentially catastrophic repercussion for the club should the decision not go our way. The damage to our reputation would hit the owners very hard indeed, and with UEFA exonerated, our spending will be under the microscope like never before.

I'm not sure whether the Premier League would get involved and pursue their own case against us, but if they did we could be in real trouble.

True but they do currently have most penalties in a season since the PL began and have had the most over the last 3-4 years as well. Pretty shocking considering they haven’t once competed for the title.

I’m going to cry if that gets posted again...

Snap, The thing is some folk actually think you can walk into a bookies and put a ton on a bet like that, the reality is that Market never existed as PP do hundreds of write ups advertising none excisitant Novelty Markets, they are cùnts for it, and even if it did after the first dozen tenners it would be gone, it's not like betting on transfers odds. I shown thay write up to my pal ( odds compiler for Corals on Golf/Cricket ) he said fuckin Paddy Power again.

Nor had the most attacking incisive football. City (and to a lesser degree Liverpool) should be leading the penalty stats comfortably.
