UEFA Independent Inquiry

I get your point about the phone life. Seems on that RM thought their fans phones would be ok !.

Surely if your ticket was on your phone you would take care of the battery. The same as if a paper ticket was in my wallet.

If you have spent hundreds of pounds on tickets, travel etc than getting a cheap charging pack would break the bank.

I'm not sure how to go about all that shit myself and I'm being honest. Also unless you've got accomodation booked you'd be one of thousands scrambling about trying to find a charging point.

I know it's the same for Madrid fans but possibly the fear fans batteries on phones would die out was the reason they thought paper tickets would be better?

There's a huge range of power banks available in the <£20 price range and they're good to be shared amongst a small travelling group and keep everyone with enough power to be able to show their tickets. If you can afford a trip to Paris and ticket to the Champions League final then you can afford to keep your phone charged.

A club that was genuinely worried about the charging situation could share information with fans about how to preserve battery life and about locations of charging points en route or on location (every major transport terminal between Liverpool and Paris, for starters), or could even look into setting up a quick-charging stall near the stadium at relatively little cost.

They take pride in doing so. The halfwit who blagged his way into the ground in a suit and fake press credentials is a perfect example. Not content with this, he then had to post his picture all over mocking the officials for conning them. Just like brain dead criminals pose with stacks of cash and guns online then wonder why the door gets kicked in and they're sat in a prison cell asap.

It's not enough for the scousers to get one over on people, oh no. They then have to rub their noses in it and laugh at them. That's why zero fucks are given about them when a few get gassed hit around the chops with a baton and miss a game.
To be honest, a jibber who gets in without climbing over fences, without wrestling their way past security or without using a snide ticket that prevents the real owner from getting in is fine by me, as long as they don't start boasting about it on social media, in which case they're as stupid as the rest of them.

Where does he go and who's place in the stadium does he take though?

‘The tickets are normally electronic, they were made in paper at the request of Liverpool. The 22,000 English tickets were all paper, which contributed to massive and industrial fraud,’ Darmanin said.

‘Comparisons with the Olympics and the Rugby World Cup seems to me quite disproportionate, knowing that it’s obviously only in football with certain English clubs that these events happen.

There is also the Liverpool coach [Klopp] who called on the supporters to travel to France even without tickets.

‘We ended up with tens of thousands of British supporters, some of whom had respected the rules perfectly. And a minor, but extremely lively, section which pushed the authorities.’
The tickets aren't normally electronic for the champions league final as we know.

It's only ever going to be very small numbers that have the ingenuity to get past security without them knowing so it wouldn't be difficult to go into an area where everyone's standing without causing a problem.

I think he was masquerading as press so God knows how he carried that off once inside.

A single person blocking a stairway is a problem. 20 or 30 people blocking a stairway is an even bigger problem.

Imagine a bomb threat or a fire if there are people blocking the walkways. It'd be carnage.

I suspect that once he got past the numerous levels of security outside the stadium, getting into the area he wanted once inside would have been a piece of piss. As I say, if not for the boasting about it on Social Media you could admire the ingenuity.
