What's the French press say about it?

TS / Shouty man has basically just said "French police weren't prepared for the number of fake tickets....why not?"
 
Not one fucker calling out the fans who bought the fakes thus not only depriving fellow fans from entering the stadium , because their barcode had already been scanned, but also creating the bottle neck.
these cunts will keep causing these situations before there are deaths.. again.

if liverpool as a club had ANYTHING about them they would be doing a full on investigation into the fake tickets flooding the market.
if they had anything about them theyd call out fans for buying them.
If they had anything about them they also wouldnt encourage fans to travel without tickets.

Selective reporting going here from the UK press - whilst French Police Chief said sorry for those fans, both Liverpool and Real Madrid, caught up in any tear gas, he said he would make exactly the same decisions again. He also states saving lives drove his decisions and that the numbers of ticketless and fake ticket holding fans was the route cause. But this doesn`t meet the agenda of the red shirt driven media.

Much of that is in the Telegraph article above - just not the headlines.

He was saying "sorry" that the tear gas had to be used, not saying it was a mistake (although let's not forget that a lot of real fans with genuine tickets appear to have been casually tear gassed for little more than complaining).

Exactly, i wish even people on here would actually read what he said and not just the headline
 
All CCTV footage has been deleted from the stadium, that alone should negate France getting any big football events for years.
 
On a more positive note, the BBC article on new PL measures against pitch invasions mentions Everton v Palace, but not the "attack" on Olsen. That was a tap-in for them, so I suppose they now accept it was bollocks.

Don't bother reading the article though. Headline says "PL clubs agree new measures to tackle pitch invasions" but the article just quotes Masters as saying "These types of incidents must stop and new measures for next year will make that clear". In-depth reporting it isn't.

Why? The City has held many events over the years along with huge Tourist numbers, it’s only when those horrible thieving twats turned up it went tits. Despite the media rhetoric we all know the Dippers caused the problem by turning up with fake tickets and causing the chaos.

I hope they draw PSG in next season’s CL group stage or will UEFA bow down to them and make an exemption they can’t meet (like they do with others usually at war).
