No need for an independent inquiry you already have all the answers. Forget what the Sky reporter has said about being gassed At The Real Madrid End and that he wonders where the 40,000 fans without tickets disappeared to because he was outside the stadium and none of them were there so there must have been 120,000 inside.Ignore all the other impartial people because it doesn't fit your agenda. It may well be that some Liverpool fans didn'rt behave but I think it's better to wait and see what come out of the inquiry

It's clear from some of tonight's reports that "some" local youths were involved climbing in.

Also it was said that an "outer" ticket security check was abandoned, as they feared a crush, so they let everyone through there into a supposed larger area, even a liverpool supporter interviewed said they opened the turnstiles just before kick off (I assume the delayed one) to prevent another crush, so the french authorities clearly made serious mistakes.

However, why are 30k+ in Paris without tickets in the first place, I doubt we'd have had anywhere near that number if we'd been in the final, and even then, if you want to "experience" the atmosphere in Paris, why not use the fan zones they setup to watch the game, like every other clubs fans do ?

I hope the enquiry is thorough, and finds out how many actual fake tickets there were, and where they were supplied from, because it's clear that WAS an issue. Also in this day and age (especially after covid) why weren't the vast majority of tickets "mobile", rather than paper ? That's on UEFA, and possibly the club as well, as there is no need for the vast majority of people.

Yep. Tickets + id. Its a pain but it stops all this type of stuff. When you need a passport to get into a ground next season it will be because of this. They should have done it here but fkd up.

Someone needs to let the French know they aren't from England, might mix things up a bit!

English at the moment, in case of any punishment being handed out they can hide behind the other English clubs whose majority of fans behave well.
A note on behavior, I have never heard any police spokesman describe football fans as "exemplary", only merseyside police could have come up with that one.

As much as I don't like Liverpool and don't think it had any impact on the result. Not to mention there were clearly thousands(not hundreds) of Liverpool fans who went there without tickets(or fake ones)... I also think the French authorities and the organisers were a shambles and anti-englishness has reared it's head yet again, with the way the fans are dealt with by both the foreign authorities and the foreign media.

The gangs and firms were apparently on each street corner, waiting to pick people off for pickpocketing, mugging and or violence and the police turned a blind eye to it, not before penning them in for an extended period of time to make them more vulnerable to it. I also do believe the locals were being let in by the guys on the turn-styles for extra cash and the ticketing system apparently went down too. So they ended up just letting a load of people in without checking tickets at all, just so the game could start in the end.

If all of that turns out to be true, then surely nobody would want a repeat of that for City, should we get to another final anytime soon. If they can't police or even organise the event properly, then they shouldn't be hosting it in the first place, especially not at the prices people are paying.

I have a feeling it will get dismissed as the English fans causing trouble again whether it's true or not, sadly. It needs to be called out more though IMO, I've seen it too many times now.
