It seems that there must have been fake tickets there but the numbers are vastly exaggerated. The guy from Sky who was outside the whole game called the French liars which is not something that they would normally be alloewd to say. Listen we all have our idiots and when you are successful you get a lot of people jumping on the bandwagon but in this instancethe accusations seem to be well wide of the mark Thanks for not rubbishing my comment and calling me any one of the well worn phrase we see here . I saw my first game in 1960 so not a Johnnny come lately to Liverpool as a supporter and in a few years your clubb will pick up a load of glory hunters as well

20k fake tickets & about 200 local youths, it’s hard to imagine what the major issue was

maybe if you are left with no fake tickets & 200 youths, no one is delayed, police & stewards can handle the 200 youths. It’s not hard to figure out.

How are the number of fakes exaggerated. The ground was full, the aisles were full & there was still thousands outside.

the celebrity Liverpool fans & family couldn’t get in cos there QR codes had been used. Why do you really believe the major issue was local youths rather than a small contributor after the major issue.

edit: 30-40k turned up without tickets according to the minister.

@John John how would you do a better job, 20k with correct tickets & 40k with fakes or no tickets.

I have absolutely no idea as to the number of fake tickets and whether it is an issue that is being exaggerated or not.

It's on UEFA to provide evidence to back up this claim.

However, no journalist (or fan, for that matter) on the ground at the time can, without being disingenuous, make any sort of claim about fake tickets not being an issue.

Some of the comments from journalists about them not witnessing any fake tickets are ridiculous.

Noone knowingly holding a fake ticket is going to proclaim this and it is entirely possible that many held fake tickets unknowingly.

As I say, it's on UEFA to prove their claims but the immediate journalistic denials appear to indicate either terrible logic or bias.
 
I personally should give all Liverpool fans a full apology,
I mistakenly thought I heard there manager encourage ticketless fans to go to Paris, obviously I was wrong as there has been no mention of this in the british press,
I also thought I saw on social media fake tickets being offered & sold openly, again my mistake, sorry,
I could have sworn I saw people in liverpool shirts climbing fences, pushing over barriers, running past security & posting on social media about how they got in the stadium without paying, my mistake it seems all these people were french,
I also didnt realise the vast majority of the wonderfull liverpool fans were either chiorboys on a lovely day out, hard working families with there 90 year old mothers (in wheelchairs) or proud dads bonding with there 9 year old sons,
Finally I would like to appolgise to all the asthmatic liverpool fans (over 90% of the liverpool fans who went to the game apparently) & I would like to wish them the best of luck with there compensation claims against the nasty french police,
Now could we all please join together every year on the 28th of May, light a candle & pray for the poor souls of liverpool who may have been tear gassed or pepper sprayed & have not recieved there compensation yet, maybe as a mark of respect we could call it "Dipper" day?

Which end was he at then numbnuts? The madrid end watching them get gassed or the dipper end with the vanishing 40k? You can’t have it both ways.
We’ve all seen enough images online of fans climbing and rushing gates, fans bragging about blagging in, pictures of stacks of fakes, pics of people bragging about getting in as corporate or getting their dads in without tickets. On top of that there’s films of scousers punching madrid fans and running around naked.
Accept it, you’ve an element of utter cunts that follow your club, only problem is at your club the element is over 75%.

But journalists are experts on all sorts of subjects. I mean, look how they accurately and presciently reported our FFP case.

Well seeing as there’s an image on one of the other threads of a bundle of at least 50 tickets I’m guessing it’s not been that much of an exaggeration, there will have been fucking thousands floating about. As usual it’s never your lots fucking fault. You’re embarrassing mate, hold your hands up and accept you’re a club with a CUNTISH support who cause mayhem everywhere you go.
