The 5 day pass for unlimited travel by metro or bus is a bargain, for £8 you can get everywhere.
Just spent the day in Monastiraki sq, not a single blue in sight..! Seems a nice enough place but after a few hrs we'd seen everywhere. Very busy and tourist oriented as you'd expect, Shops full of tat and overpriced bars and restaurants.
