For food near Monastiraki I recommend O Thanasis. They do very good pork or chicken souvlaki and beef kebabs there, very authentic. They are all good eateries on the same street for gyros and meat skewers etc.

You are looking at £12-15 for a big plate of food in these touristy areas, which tbh ain't too bad for the quality.

We ate out in Pasalimani, Piraeus last night and ended up ordering way too much food for about 20 quid a head. We doggy bagged it and fed the cats.
