Those staying in Piraeus. Are you planning to head up Monastiraki on matchday as per 1894 or stay in and around Piraeus?

You are looking at £12-15 for a big plate of food in these touristy areas, which tbh ain't too bad for the quality.

We ate out in Pasalimani, Piraeus last night and ended up ordering way too much food for about 20 quid a head. We doggy bagged it and fed the cats.

We've found places in Piraeus where you get pork/chicken gyros in pitta wrap for 3.50. Street souvlaki it's called, they also deliver via an app.

I don't get why 1894 are pushing Monastiraki sq, been twice now and it's quite small, surrounded by shops and a couple of restaurants. Really doesn't seem suitable for large crowds to drink..! It's handy for the tube but that's about it.
There are a few better options a 5-10 min walk away, but Piraeus seems a far better option, plenty of bars and open spaces and is only a 10min train journey to the stadium.
