I don’t think it is fair to see a low turnout as ‘poor’. (Apologies if you didn’t mean it ina negative fashion).
It is a fair few quid and people have had holidays sorted out months in advance.
I am going, but that is mainly due to loving Athens and the novelty of the SuperCup.
The Community Shield I wouldn’t have gone to even if it HAD been at a decent time.
The good thing about the criteria is that anyone that wants a ticket will get one.

That’s true and I hope no one’s left disappointed. I’ll go the community shield only reason it’s one of 7 cups we can win this season and in the unlikely event that we did win the 7 I’d like to be there for them all although the club World Cup maybe a no go due to getting time off work but I will try me best ;)

Just an update after speaking with a few more blues via PM who are looking at digs. Avoid the ghetto of Omonia Square. Despite Google showing plenty of hotel offerings round here, it's not the place to stay, especially if you have women with you.

Please look at the guidance from myself and others earlier in the thread or pop me a message if you are still unsure of where to stay, what to do etc.

Hi, just wondering if you would recommend Piraeus. I am looking at apartments in the Port area, close to the Cruise Terminal. Is that a good area ? Thanks
 
For reference, you may well be sharing a hotel with refugees or have them out the front of your hotel. It's a 24 hour operation for police in this part of town, a lot of violence and poverty. Avoid Omonia, Viktoria, and Exarchia.

Things can go Pete Tong very quickly after dark in those places. Stay safe blues and ask questions if you are unsure. Thanks.
