40c+ is not unusual, UEFA should get their brown envelope bung money back and pick a cool country in Northern Europe like Norway,Sweden,Iceland or even Scotland.

I'd agree but selfishly want it to go ahead now as lots of us have booked plans and travel.

Strangely, I was in Athens this time 5 years ago and it was around 23C and overcast. Perfect weather for City fans that would've been.

It's 3 1/2 weeks until the match. Whilst it is ridiculously hot now, nobody knows what its going to be like then. UEFA are not going to cancel/postpone/move the match on the off chance that the current weather continues until then.

It will be played at the Karaiskakis Stadium, home to Athens side Olympiacos on 16th August

I'm going to the super cup in Athens with my 10 yr old son
I'm staying at dave red hotel in omonia district. Is anyone else staying here and which pubs will everyone meet in before the game.
Any help with plans would be greatful
I'm flying from Stansted on 13th because no flights from Manchester for that date.
