UEFA to reveal the “biggest football scandal” of all time in November

The football world will be shaken to its core by the "biggest football scandal ever," according to Karl Dhont who is heading UEFA’s anti-corruption agency.

European football’s governing body have discovered irregularities in 40 games at domestic level as well as in the Champions League.

UEFA have "solid evidence" about anomalies in league matches and qualifying for the Champions League and UEFA Cup (now the Europa League).

Dhont added that one of the clubs involved is from Belgium but would not divulge which team. He also confirmed that the investigation is finished and is the "biggest of all time."

UEFA is expected to take tough measures against teams and players who are involved in the scandal.

It's very easy to see where corruption could come into CL qualifying as the money involved is huge, not sure about the Europa Cup though, most decent sides seem to not want anything to do with it, shame really as it used to be a good tournament.

Club Brugge seems to be the most regular team from Belgium in the Champions League so it may be them and teams that have played them. Speculation of course.

But what's sure is that it involves a top team as only the Top 4's etc (top leagues) get into CL and then the next 2 etc to UEFA Cup. If UEFA are going to comeout with this they better be ready to go all the way with it because it would be a fiasco if the evidence is there and the Big Clubs get away with it.

Standard Liege played Everton in UEFA Cup qualifying last year, though with the money involved in the UEFA Cup nowhere near Champs League levels it would be surprising if it involved the scousers.

Weren't a load of eastern european clubs charged for a UEFA Cup related scandal recently?
Might just be an extension on that investigation.

It'll be a few former eastern block teams being sacrificed to cover up the corruption of the G14, or however many they are who's interests are protected by UEFA who are shit scared that thy will break away and form their own league. I will be very surprised if it was a "Big" club involved although i can think of may incident involving English clubs getting the rub against so called lesser opponants.
