Dream is the biggest MMA promotion in japan its the same people who ran Pride before they sold it to the UFC

They have ran 4 events so far just finished watching the first 2 in jap and started the 3rd which is in english

I didn't know 'Pride' got sold to UFC! In what way? Their roster of fighters or format? Why was the 'Pride' name not kept, then?

Pride were in debt and linked with the Jap Mafia so PPV & TV deals went out the window etc in stepped the UFC bought it and shut it down kept the fighters they wanted and let the others go

So far it’s been mainly Lightweights & Middleweights as they are trying to crown a champ in each weight but Cro Cop has had a fight there some quality match ups so far

As for 'Pride', I knew about the debt, but thought they'd just fizzled out. I did wonder, though, that in the last year there'd been a LOT of links to 'Pride' with the fighters. Now it makes sense.

The Affliction PPV is supposed to be shown on bravo at 9pm on the 20th but there is nothing on there site as yet but hopefully there will be some live streams nearer the 19th too

Bravo are now not going to show the Affliction card so i will pester Mr Giz tomorrow
