Sounds like you love conspiracy theories there mate. What are your thoughts on Flouride in our water supply being used to 'dumb' down the nation?

Alls i say to that Maly is look what the Nazis did to the Jews, they put flouride in the water and you know what, it certainly was'nt to help the victims with their dental care. Do not resist, come quietly, sound familiar mate?

All too familiar. I take you are aware that the Flouride which is being used is actually damaging to teeth, not protecting them? Just more spin from our honest governments.

The universe being so vast you would think that the chances of there being sentient life elsewhere are more than infinitesimal.
The Calder valley where I live was the centre of British UFO activity during the late 1970s/early 1980s. The most notorious cases were linked by the involvement of PC Alan Godfrey. In June 1980 Godfrey was involved in the discovery of the body of mine worker Zygmund Adamski-apparently dumped from a height- on a heap of coal in the coalyard of Todmorden railway station. Adamski, originally from Poland, had earlier disappeared from his home in Tingley near Bradford (I think.) An autopsy failed to find the cause of mysterious burns on the body. Strangely Adamski was also the surname of a man who famously filed reports of UFO activity- including photographs- in the US in 1952. Later Alan Godfrey suffered from a 'timeloss' when in his police patrol car on Burnley Road in Todmorden in June 1980. He reported seeing a strange object and lights on the road ahead of him and next found himself further down the road with a significant amount of time elapsed. Later under hypnosis Godfrey recalled alien abduction-this story has been the subject of numerous articles, books and documentaries. The scurrilous local rumour mill attributed this incident to an encounter with a nightcap at a woman's house rather than an encounter with aliens. But on the same night there were well documented official reports of other strange phenomena in the skies around the north of England. If you have read my posts in other threads you will know I am a sceptic-but something odd did happen around here nearly 30 years ago-what the explanation is, mundane or otherwise, may never be known.

Cheers for that. Interesting read. Nothing wrong with being a sceptic mate as long as you have an open mind about things. If you don't have an open mind, you have a closed mind & who wants one of them?

As i said in my previous post, they never have our well being at heart, dumbing us down, 1000%.

I am interested in the possibility of UFO's exiting ... just that i ain't ever seen one in Cheadle Hulme ...... and realistically i'm not ever likely to either!

Cheadle Hulme, St. Helens or outer Mongolia, why would'nt you see one mamba?

Probably for the same reason that i'm never likely to see a ghost , God , or the Loch Ness monster ..... existence just doesn't seem likely.

i'm not saying that i don't keep an open mind , because i do .....

but believing in something that you've never actually seen , or may not even exist , seems so futile ... and is never really likely to provide you with any definite answers.

Good honest answer mate and the only way to go, better than some of the wooden tops on this forum anyway, nice one. Mamba, sometimes if you think something won't happen then it won't, i know what your saying as in seeing is believing, but have you ever thought that believing is seeing, as in opening your whole self/mind/spirit up to possibility and indeed it thus becomes, Believing is seeing? just a thought. :)

I saw something pretty odd one night when I was flying back from Greece in 1996. Somewhere over the alps, about thirty odd thousand feet, I looked out the window and saw two silver balls darting about beside the plane in a manner I can only describe as synchronised dancing. This went on for several minutes. I turned to my mates to see if they could see it but they were all half asleep and couldn't be arsed looking. I watched, dumbfounded and completely awestruck, as the two silver balls - probably about twenty-ish feet in diameter - simply dropped out of the sky and shot off at a speed I cannot fathom.

buzzer1 : I wonder if you've seen the UFO encounter of Dr. Jonathon Reed. Have a look on YouTube. There's a long documentary about his experience.

In one of my post here i mentioned about moving lights in the skies above my backyard. Well , tonight i managed to record 1, it was actually two. One "flew" right underneath the other. Ones was big, the other was small. Its not a star, as it was moving, hard to see in the video as there is no reference points. other than the smaller light that appears 26 secs into the video. I was shaking so sorry about that, not every good with cameras, i also tried to zoom in to see what it was. It did not work. It was too big for a satellite, and not an airplane. I can zoom in and see the airplanes as they fly pretty low. On this i zoom in and it just blurs, nothing happens. The smaller object was only seen because i was zoomed in, it wasn't seen with the naked eye.

The sky wasn't woman black, there are stars but the camera can't pick up their light.

Here is the video. i hope it works. Its only a minute and 30 secs.

Ok i have responded to quite a few threads in the past about U.F.O'S.
I can understand people that don't believe anything like this exists, and do tend to agree with what soemone else said about the seeing is believing aspect of all this.

In the Summer of 1977,my Father finished working a night shift and came home at about 6:10 AM in the morning.I can remember quite vividly everyone in the house going downstairs,i would have been 9 years old and followed everyone out into the street, once we got out there a lot of the Neighbours had gathered and we're looking through the gap of two house's opposite my Mothers house.

Their is a valley behind the road where my parents still live and hovering about 50ft from the ground was what i can only describe as an unidentified flying object. The weird thing about this,i always imagine sightings of U.F.O'S has being quick glimpses, not this thing,it was there a good couple of hours and eventually the coppers we're out on the road and a very large crowd had gathered,i remember being very scared indeed,i stayed out a while and then crept upstairs and got into my parents bed.I stood and looked at this thing for a considerable amount of time, and know their was no eartly explantion for it.
From that day on i have always remained very open minded about the possibilty of other life forms visiting earth,i told this story at work once, and i did think i would be ridiculed for it,however on the opposite shift my ex Brother in law works and he also saw the exact same thing.I really will never forget seeing what i saw,and i honestly don't think i will ever see anything as incredible again.
