I'm watching more livestreams and there were few United shirts as well present, thankfully I didn't see any City shirts. But I've seen few United shirts from both sides shouting at each other.

I've unfollowed maybe 30 or more people on Twitter over the last few days because they're posting or reposting racist shite. A couple of people I knew personally and was friendly with as well.I'm going to try my best and have a day without the news today because it's all so thoroughly fucking depressing.
Hopefully one good thing that might come out of all this is that maybe some people who have had some sympathy with the views being expressed about immigrants, etc., might think twice after seeing the actions of some of their fellow travellers.
Another is that the threat from far-right racists is now clear for all to see. I'd also like to see a moratorium on all protest marches for a month so that police resources are free to deal with trouble from anyone ignoring that.

Think this thread needs a new title. Many of these people are simply protesting about the state of the country and are Not far Right. The title of this thread is simply feeding the media agenda.
Are they fuck. They're racists and card carrying Nazis who are walking around beating up brown people and looting B&M bargains and calling it "a protest".
The current government has only been in power for a few weeks. Anyone with a genuine grievance about their living standards and speaking truth to power should have maybe taken it up with the last government. The reason they didn't was because the previous government played them like a fiddle, throwing them scraps of racist policy and neo fash rhetoric to keep them occupied.

Honestly I can't speak for other police officers-but my recollection was nobody cared less what they said, they understand they are politicians, and largely completely pointless.Reelected in May as PCC and will lose being chair of national association at the AGM in October (if she's still in post) as Labour now has a majority of the PCCs. An attention seeker...
