UK far right trouble

Social media and the 24/7 news cycle has made us able to dehumanise people we see on a screen. Whether it be immigrants or the rioters, these are other human beings with lives, families and worries like us all. The majority of these people you could probably have a chat and a laugh with, a reasoned discussion and maybe learn something from each other. Back in the day we probably would.
The amount of different personalities in the workplace and we still manage to leave at the end of the day without having fought with anybody or called them names, 2 minutes on twitter though and people go mental.

Sorry but we need to pack this in. Racists, Nazis and violent bigoted bullies are not an equivalent counter point to immigrants and asylum seekers. Trying to legitimise this behaviour as though it comes from a well meaning place isn't ok.

I'm seriously considering deleting it myself, for the first time. I rarely post on there now, and am just getting fed so much toxic stuff on the "For you" tab. If it's not tedious culture war bollocks, then it's videos of people fighting/getting battered, girls advertising their OnlyFans, or ads for cheap shit goods from China. Musk really has destroyed the platform, which was probably his intention when he bought it.
Let's face it, Twitter/X was never designed to showcase to the world what you're having for tea tonight. It's designed to amplify certain topics so that people will engage.

I think what has changed is it used to be a place where if you were interested in football then your feed would be full of football chat and other things that you're interested in but now it's dominated by political shite. I block political stuff but it never learns from that and keep showing me it.

This is the result of people not having reasonable conversations, not the cause. If people could talk more rather than label people and push them into their own little echo chamber groups this wouldnt be happening.
People with genuine and reasonable concerns get immediately written off as racist or far right, they aren't listened to so it pushes them into the hands of people they think are listening, wankers like Farage and Tommy Robinson.

So much lols.

Absolutely incredible.

Hahahahahahah

Genuinely can’t fathom some of the posts on here at times.

I tihnk people have missed my point, im not talking about the rioters as they are now acting like fucking idiots. Im talking about what has lead to this point

I dehumanise people I talk to by email/Teams at work. If someone doesn't answer my question quickly enough or doesn't explain something properly, they're a **** of the highest order who should be fired. As soon as I get on the phone with them, they're lovely. There's something about that text on a screen communication that turns everyone into a prick.

There are better posts on the Salford subway walls than on Twitter. Similar content.

Watched the footage from Manchester city centre yesterday, fucking hell we have some angry bell ends out and about. Im convinced half of these cunts dont even know what they are protesting about.

We have created an underclass of lawless self entitled twats.
Yep. Thats been 40+ years in the making. A generation of self expectant, selfish cunts, who havent had the word NO said to them. No fear of reprisals. Generations of the same family never worked.
Parents who if their kids are told off at school readily make a complaint.

Trouble is, a few of those statements are for all sides and levels of society. Not just ‘far right’, which is a fuxking stupid label to give. They arent at all

Britains a bit fucked.
My hard working, law abiding 23 year old son said only last week he doesnt ever see himself owning a house. Although he works full time he cant afford a car. Said recently he struggles to get docs apps.
So yeah, i think people are a bit fed up. Some are just rioting for the sakes of it.
But one things for sure, there is anger in britain

Said it before and i will say it again social media is a master of confirmation bias, if you have a thought or a notion, or even slightly agree with an opinion on either side of the divide it will feed you and feed you until you can claim with absolute certainty that you must be right because there is plenty of others who think like you, it takes away reasoning and critical thought and has absolute no care in the world about facts and truth just clicks and engagement.
