But even more so, where do all the detainees go? My force has about 60 cells-no doubt Merseyside have more but by no means enough to literally round everyone up.

To arrest one violent prisoner can take 4/6 officers plus transport in secure vans..very soon you have nobody on the streets and everyone in queues in custody.

They will be nicked over the next days.

Totally agree. Society has always had these problems but the issue today is that social media provides a connector and a megaphone. At no point have groups of nutters been able to organise and infect to become dangerous.
