UK in 5 years

Also I think many English if polled would not care if the union broke up.

Personally we need an English devolved parliamemt and then a general council of the four nations representing the UK, possibly similar to the swiss federal council.

With stormont(when functioning) the senned and holyrood already in place Parliamnent is obsolete as a place to keep the countries united

As a Southern Ireland citizen. I do hope I don't have to give up my season ticket. I'm able to get in and out in the one day on match days. I couldn't afford nor want to be having to lose precious time in a queue trying to gain access in and out of the UK. I'm aware the common travel area remains unchanged but who knows where the person sitting next to me on the plane over is coming from and what their intentions are. I sometimes barely make a flight over and back with minutes to spare at times :-(

The EU has muted and idea in any trade deal that UK citizens can apply to remain EU citizens on dual nationality also and travel/work/live in other nations.

For me if that was on offer I would apply

I wouldn’t.

They’ve guaranteed 90 days free travel anyway and I’m never going to be staying in Europe for longer than that.

Well you might, who knows what the future will hold, and if you retain full British citizenship what harm does having the second option of EU nationality.

I’d be much more likely to apply for ILR status in the US than live in Europe.

There’s just no point.

I’ll make an educated guess that it’ll be a bigger shithole than it already is

Scotland is currently polling against independence and they’re not having a referendum anyway.

Why oh why do people on here still claim the UK will be broken up.

Get over it, it’s not happening.

I remember many saying the same about brexit bud, with the same conviction.

edit, not disagreeing as such btw, just pointing out that parallel.

That’s true, my feeling though is the Scottish people will look at Brexit and be smart enough to know this would be even more complicated.
