Germany has taken in thousands already, yet Britain refuses. What has happened to this Country and our compassion? There are millions of Syrian refugees in the Lebanon and on the Turkish border, in terrible conditions. Britain is always ready and willing to follow the Americans in agitating for war, this has got us nowhere so why not try a different approach? We are not 'full up', we are a very rich country with highly developed infrastructure. We could easily take 100,000 Syrian families. Then if France, USA, Germany, Australia, Sweden, Denmark, the richer Gulf states etc etc took in similar numbers it would ease the burden on the Aid agencies and actually help Muslims for once.
