I see the same old tired 'racist', 'Nazi', 'fascist,' nonsense is still being touted. Can any of the 'offended' crew discuss UKIP's policies, or is it just the usual pish?

What's the point? UKIP will never be in a position to implement any of their policies. They're like the Superbowl half time ads - lots of hype noise and kerfuffle but they're not what any one is actually there for. The UKIPpers will be putting their tinfoil millinery on top of the wardrobe and sneaking back to the Tory club in a couple of weeks.
They address a concern in the Country that may be brought to the attention of the parties that want to be in power if we worked on your theory, every party other than the Tories and Labour might as well not bother.

We have a GE thread for that.

I prefer to use this thread to call him a Nazi :))

I live in thanet were Farage is standing and to be honest i will be very surprised if he doesnt win this seat thanet is made for him, a long time tory safe seat but with so many areas no go areas now and high unemployment, low pay, run down areas, oh yea we do have that 70million turner center for the lovely dovey arty people from london in the 'old' part of margate but walk 100yds from it and its like a getto !

It has always puzzled me how thanet is a tory strong hold its been run down since del boy came here ! We even had the tory run council advertising in the liverpool local paper saying instead of signing in liverpool come and sign on in thanet so there could fill the empty guesthouses with unemployed scousers ! !

In the Leaders debate the faux outrage against Farage for talking about Health tourists was pathetic l

I hope the facist cunts German wife does not use our NHS.

I never had you down as the anti-immigrant 'send 'em back' type Rasc, and tbh I think she's probably entitled to use the NHS under current law.

as a scouser living and working ( honest) in thanet if that happened it wasn't a success as there are hardly any living here. apart from one street in cliftonville i would also question where the ghettoes are also. the biggest eyesore in margate has to be that block of flats by dreamland,

It was in the early 90's it was all perms and shellsuits when you went to sign on !, as for gettos cliftonville high street , dalby square, margate high street is empty, ramsgate has a few run down areas, cant remember the name of the estate by the marlow school. If you look at photos in the 60's 70's 80's of the local parks you can see how much the area has gone down hill but to be honest i think alot of seaside resort are now the same

only moved here in november last year so can't comment on 90's. what strikes me is how different the areas are so quickly. broadstairs has a nice feel to it as does whitstable but i would imagine both areas are new money from londoners etc. margate old town is developing but the money invested in the turner gallery was a waste, but then from what i hear thanet council appear very good at that. westwood cross has drained the life out of margate high street and can't see that ever recovering. cliftonville without it's immigrants would be a ghost town and would need massive investment to encourage locals to live there. i think the area suffers like most british seasides and the dreamland development will be a waste of investment. i can see why farage is popular here as even the most rational locals seem to detest the local immigrants.

Wouldnt disagree with you apart from broadstairs and whitstable yes nice places both but i would be carefull after dark in both towns. I think you are right about Farage and i think most local people feel there are to many immigrants in cliftonville, i do feel like a foreigner and i havent walked down cliftonville high street for years.
