Sterling is getting non stop praise on pretty much every football related station. They talked about him on bbc for a good chunk of time. Stones doesn’t get as much praise for city either - ‘because of Dias’

i still can not get back into international football and england ?

Thank fuck Rooney and Beckham are no longer - they were a pair of self-serving cunts. Neither deserve the recognition they receive.

I am with you, mate on this one. But I have learned to love supporting my Country again, and can feel your frustration.

However, this current group of players seem much tighter and in it for one another. The bullshit Man Yoo, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool cliques, and subsequent self-made dislike of one another is long gone.

We might not agree with some of Southgate's choices, but it's working, and long may that continue.

I'm enjoying this. We're utterly spoiled as City fans and the standard of football we witness. Not every England supporter is a City fan, and therefore their expectations are completely different. Most England fans - right now - are utterly delirious; and rightly so.

It's been a shite 18 months - let's have something to enjoy and appreciate.

Let's hope football really is coming home :)
