Part of winning anything is pride and recognition of your achievements, part of being a supporter is feeling a certain amount of pride that your teams players have done something special.

I didn’t watch the match for a couple of reasons but was just watching Gareth Southgate being interviewed on ITV. Luckily I’d looked on the BBC website and seen that we won. Southgate looked soooo miserable and his voice was one level, boring and bored, I thought we have won haven’t we?

I sway on the second point let me explain briefly.

90 and 96 i was desperate for England to win, no city players which was fair enough coz let’s face it we were shit. Booked holidays to watch the tournament.

Now this time it’s complicated walker stones sterling all starters so naturally I should want us to win plus being English. But Foden is a huge problem for me. The guy is one of us, he is a city supporter, it’s like robbing you or me of something. On ability and the season he has had he deserves to be in that side. I cannot put aside a manager who shouldn’t even have the bloody job shitting on a city player and more importantly a city supporter.

When the team as announced I was very angry. Is this unreasonable? It is what it is. Like I said on another post for my lads sake I probably hope we win it. It won’t mean anything to me personally.

Now you have changed your tune and are saying its because we have other quality players. I said it's because Southgate just didn't want to pick him. What are you dribbling on about?

Foden had a yellow card and Southgate clearly didn’t want to risk him, he wants a full squad available for a potential semi and final. We’ve also got other quality players that play in the same position as Foden. Why is it so hard to understand this? Southgate has mixed his teams up yet there’s Foden fanboys on here screaming for him to be on the pitch even though we’re playing well without him.
