Actually gone through the rabbit hole and want Maguire to be all right. Some ok moments defensively (or lucky depending on how mean spirited you're feeling) but my days his passing is so bad he could even start in midfield. Watching Foden being ignored whilst in between the lines is pretty sad with the tactic seeming to be just get it out wide.

Rashford had a nice touch and run when he first came on but then quickly resorted to the disinterested guy when he was carrying the shoulder injury a couple of seasons ago. The crossfield ball to Saka he played was infuriating.

The team achieved those “successes” despite Southgate, he maybe is a good organiser / administrator but his football is limited he hasn’t got the technical ability required to win things that’s why he is responsible for a relegation at both club and international level. He says one thing and then does the opposite, has his favourites which he said he wouldn’t Can’t recognise that Phil Foden has more talent in his toenail that Henderson has in his body. He has a pool of talent that goes on the pitch unprepared and rudderless he really is wasting this generation with his dull boring football. Obviously allowed that view but can you find any match report that backs that up ?

Personally though we played really well and second half of that match dominated with Kane missing that penalty - also had way more possession than them, 16 shots to their 8 and a couple big decisions went against us.

We didn’t play well, we didn’t control the game Griezmann ran the show & Southgate had no answer.

Look at how Griezmann was used in that game & think to yourself, could Southgate do that.

You can do a lot with stats but the important one is that as soon as we come up against a team stronger than cannon fodder we go out.
