Yes, it is. Look at the shit Calvert-Lewin gets from people who think he’s gay, even though he isn’t, or the comments whenever a team does Pride stuff. Or all the disgusting comments from tabloid readers about Jill Scott being a ‘rug muncher’ and how her winning I’m a Celeb is ‘woke’. We’re not Poland but homophobia is still a problem.

The World Cup has just been held in a country where homosexuality is illegal, so I'd say it's still a huge social issue.

It's no big deal there (certainly in Prague anyway). I think pretty much everyone knew/suspected it anyway.
