Unacceptable song

That song is still stupid. Makes me cringe - and had a Leicester fan ask why our fans sing it. No answere. I hate the shower of sh**e, and everything about them, but that is like licking the boots of someone who stood in dogcr@p, walked through a field of manure and rubbed guano into it. Shameful chant. No place for it. As bad as the Munich cr@p, if not worse.
It's not worse, (IMO), as Munich actually happened, folk died so making a silly, childish song about it is worse than insinuating the opposition manager is a paedo. Both nonsense.
*That ok to post, mancityvstoke?

Personally I think its worse. Someone just posted "don't thinks there's much factual basis. Where did the "much" come from? In time it will be "a well known fact". Like Coppell's sexuality etc

It's just a chant for FFS.

I don't think anyone who sings it is seriously making an accusation about Moyes or Ferguson, and if they are serious, I hope they would do so in the correct manner i.e. report their knowledge to the police.

Just out of interest, what happens to the credibility of the chant if hypothetically speaking, either them ARE found to be paedophiles?
Brilliant ! There's nothing more likely to upset the pc brigade, who are trying to be serious about a trivial matter than trivialising the seriousness of the whole point of the debate with a clearly mocked serious question. Oooh, it makes their blood boil !

How about a slightly less "offensive" ? Version ?

"We're not keen on ferguson or moyes
I'm sure they're both very nice boys
Though they can be biased
And tend towards hypocrisy,
At times".

I'm sure somebody will find a minority group somewhere who'd take offence at that too. Particularly as you can spell the word "fuck" by jumbling the letters up. And arse ! It's a disgrace ! It makes my blood boil ! I shall be writing a very strong letter to.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
As a fully payed up member of Hypocrites Anonymous, I find this song offensive. I think it abhorrent and unnecessary. That said, I will be singing it on Saturday. Clearly the therapy HA offer is not working.
Also brilliant ! Ha ha !

Exactly. Exactly this.

I don't know about anyone else, but I always liked following football so I could get away from everyone being so fucking SENSITIVE and PC and corporate all the damned day long. I'm sure that point's been made earlier here, but it is a good one I think.

Paedo songs aren't good at all in my opinion. It's too much of a disgusting act/topic to make a song about, again in my opinion.
All for factual-banter like songs with opposition players, like when Southall was tormented with songs about his wife's alleged escapades with other blokes. Players expect that, I would imagine, but saying someone is a paedo when there is literally no link to it is a bit dim more than anything. What is the link? Because they're old?

Because they're employed by United is far more likely I'd guess.

It's not in good taste at all but it's not particularly unique to City fans. Spurs and United fans in particular have been tormenting Wenger en masse for years with paedophile chants. Doesn't make it right of course but I'd much sooner hear that than songs about Munich. You're never going to get a full repertoire of politically correct football songs at a match. Everyone will have different opinions regarding what should be off limits and what shouldn't.

Plus moyes rhymes with boys. It really is that simple. Are people still banging on about this?

Never mind, in a few years the Standfuhrer will hand out approved song sheets and anyone singing anything else will be thrown out. No one will complain then, they will eat their approved pies, drink their approved beer, and clap politely from time to time. Everyone will be happy.

First on the list of approved songs: Tomorrow Belongs to Me. They just need to tweak the words a bit to remove any offence.

Is the debate really about it being offensive?

I do not find the lyrical content offensive, and I can say for definite I've sang worse on the same topic of Manchester United staff (or ex staff) being involved in extra curricular activities.

However, the song itself is just dross and unimaginative.

It does annoy me that people join in with it at away games more than they would to a proper City song e.g. "in 1963..."

But that's football fans, innit? They had a song about Moyes and Ferguson to that tune so we rip it off. You clap along, you rhyme Moyes with boys and think that you're being well edgy for accusing two men as being paedo's.

How many times have you thought since you heard that united sing their own version of the Kompany song "yeah good one, you unoriginal obsessed bastards"?

When people join in with things they want it to be as simple as possible.

We're/he's something something, we'll/he'll something on our/his own

Zzzzz

I've said before that the song's crap and I don't get the obsession with 'them'.

Heard an argument the other day that they sing about us so we should sing about them in return. Stuff that! It's City we're supporting, not them and we shouldn't be lowering ourselves to their level. Be different, be unique and show them up to be the sad obsessed ***** they really are.

Too many of us have an obsession with the Rags.
Why we need to sing about them is beyond me.

Been taking the p1ss out of my mates at work this week as the rags were singing about Vincent Kompany at Stoke. Was saying how they're obsessed with us and 80% of there songs mention us.

Just glad they clearly didn’t hear our fans at Leicester.
