Under the Radar: 3 Big Things We're Likely to Forget

I honestly think Henderson getting sent off was a big moment, He started every single game apart from the three games where he was suspended.
Absolutely. I can't believe I missed that one out.

Liverpool were poor when they started dropping Coutinho in favour of Allen as well.

You talk of things you don't know, as you always do.

I can't help but feel that I'm wasting my time with you here

So that's '5 Big Things We're Likely To Forget, In Fact We Had Forgotten 2 Of Them Already'.
Other than that, and the OP declaring war on Damocles for some bizarre reason, I think the thread's progressing nicely.
I would also cite Brendan's abject inability to parallel park the bus as a factor, but then that might only confuse things further.

See, this is what I mean.

I don't spend my time on this forum making Damocles-safe posts. I don't want you to spend your apparently precious moments telling me what to do or what not to do - the fact that you do is your decision. I don't want to be given patronising life lessons from you because your allegedly priceless advice tends to come in the form of personal insults in public arenas. Why? Because you're a horrible person when it comes to me.

If you honestly cared as much as you apparently do about my progress as a human being you'd attempt to take me to one side, give me a PM or two and tell me to calm down. Instead, you call me a "dullard", insult my intelligence and do pretty much anything else of a similar description in order to humiliate me in front of this entire forum. You use your reputation and standing on this forum to try and make me feel small. That is bullying.

You haven't met me in real life. Most of those that have know that I'm nothing like my usual self on the forum so they normally send me a PM or two, knowing that when I'm sat down with and spoken to I often take advice on board with eagerness. You're acting like the worst parent in the world with me and you have done ever since I joined up again. You follow me around the forum, accusing me derailing threads, being a doom merchant and so on.

You act like I can't be controlled and that you're "wasting your time" with me. It'd do us both a service if you left me alone. I look forward to what you post when you're not talking to me, but you just can't help but stick your massive patronising oar into something I say if it doesn't quite fit with your standards. The Code of Conduct, which you are obliged to enforce as well as adhere to states that you should:

Treat other users with respect. Anyone who is constantly aggressive or confrontational will face action. If something (or someone) winds you up easily walk away.

Calling me a "dullard" isn't treating me with respect. Following me around the forum and picking up on my posts is confrontational. I wind you up, clearly, so stay away. You're not stupid, Damocles. You've probably got the highest IQ on the forum and the most rational thought when it comes to things I'll probably never understand. But you're horrible to me all of the time. You've not shown me an ounce of respect - I'm not saying that as though I deserve it, I'm saying that because you're a moderator of a forum.

I say you talk of things you don't know because there was a debate amongst the moderators not long ago whether you had actually learnt any lessons from your time as MCFC BOB. In terms of a moderator, you fall under the "a pain in the arse" category. Not somebody who needs to be fucked off but somebody who needs constantly managing as they have the ability to create large amounts of drama and arguments when they get on one and nobody really wants this. You're not alone in this category of course.

As you have pointed out, and as I pointed out in a thread on a different user, moderators have numerous ways of dealing with things to try and keep the forum clocking over as best we can. It's sort of an escalation idea for people in that category to see if they get the point eventually. It generally starts with a PM that you've pointed out you've had on numerous occasions. Maybe somebody might make a pointed remark in a thread which a different mod has done. Then if they still don't get the message, a less subtle remark which I have done. Then maybe they'll get a long ban that will be reduced after a few hours or so to try and make a point which I have also done. After that we tend to leave it as bit as we've done what we can both in private and in public to try and make whatever point needs to be made, and eventually something will happen and they'll end up banned because they were a long term nuisance. Ric will give them a reprieve, the same thing will happen again and then that's the end of that.

Of course this is a rare situation as most people get the message at some point. I see the discussion in the Mod Forums and most of it are us discussing not banning people and commenting on decisions each other have made.

Unlike most people however, you have turned this into some large drama where the whole world is against you and I'm a dragon to be slayed. I don't dislike you Bob, I don't even know you. You're correct that I don't really give a shit about "your development as a human being", I'm just arsed about Bluemoon as always.

The point that people have been trying to get across to is that you're always 2 seconds away from a public meltdown and perhaps an internet forum isn't the best place for you to share these feelings. From our view it creates arguments and bitterness which of course has a fallout over numerous different threads and numerous different users hence the "pain in the arse" tag. You blow up then go away to cry or do whatever and we have to deal with the fallout. The thread the other day is an excellent example of such. You felt the need to tell everybody how worried you were about the age of all of our players in the middle of a title weekend. This basically was a thread during a time of massive positivity inviting people to slag you off, during which point somebody would have defended you and somebody would have returned. Now we have two other users slagging each other off that might have had a few or go a bit far and end up banned or resenting others because of it. That's an argument and a potential banning that didn't need to happen just if you've phrased a post differently in a less "the world is falling" manner.

It's not like we can ever have an argument free forum and nor would we want one but there are ways of cutting down the needless arguments that will lead to problems for those who are quite as eloquent or sober as others. You've turned a simple thing like this into some deeply personal grudge which is why I said I'm obviously wasting my time now.

3 things guaranteed in life. Death. Taxes. And an MCFCBOB hissy fit meltdown. Bloody hilarious i tell ya.

What you've said there is perfectly reasonable and I have absolutely no qualms with it. You're absolutely right about my over-eagerness and that I'm over-dramatic. You even said I wasn't alone in the "pain in the arse" category.

But I feel as though I am when it comes to you and I. The words you use to try and argue with me are often unwarranted. I might be a pain in the arse but to call me a "dullard" and various other things isn't fair and can cause those "public meltdowns" you mentioned. Surely you can appreciate where I'm coming from here?

Any overriding reason why you can't take this to PM's Bob, other than that by doing that then you wouldn't get the attention you clearly crave?
Only you seem to be singlehandedly derailing your own thread faster than a tube driver on ketamine here, and making yourself look rather foolish in the process.
