Most clubs, City included get 10-15% of every shirt sold in addition to the annual payment. United don't as I've said due to the huge annual payment they get from Addidas.
But no clubs get anything from snide shirts sold on Markets Commercial Centres and in Beach Road outlets all over the world, which I would imagine was quite a few. When I have been on holiday both in Asia and in Europe the amount of snides, from any club, is vastly more than originals.

Has the price they payed for Pogba dropped any lower today? By the time he get's his wish and fuck's off to his first choice Madrid in a few years they'd of paid 30 mil with 80 mil add-ons.
Never before have I known the media to politely knock off the agent's fee when talking about transfer fees. They paid 110m to secure his services, so why are we now repeatedly being told he cost 89m?

In this day and age the marketability of a player is just as vital as their on the pitch performances.

There will be thousands of kids who believe that Pogba is one of the best players in the world, despite having never watched a Serie A game. The 'FIFA Generation' will buy into the hype and a star is born.

It's almost the same as the influence Simon Cowell has on the music industry. His publicity can make a band more famous than ever before and that's what the media can do to footballers.

At the moment I wouldn't say that Pogba is necessarily a better player than Kroos, Gundogan, Fabregas and Ramsey. That said, there is no doubt in my mind that he will be.

This begs the question of how far are people CURRENTLY overrating him?

He's not the best ever player to transfer to the PL. He's not even the best to transfer to the PL this summer, Ibrahimovic is.

So to say he's the best player to come to the PL is based on what he can become. Just like Kun, Tevez, Torres, Henry etc.

Shirt sales for one, I'm pretty sure Adidas get a cut.

The more he's in the lime light, the more people talk about him/follow him on twatter the better it is for Adidas, this deal was a no-brainer for them considering they sponsor both player and the club.

Say a shirt is £50... 400,000 shirt sales would generate £20M in total, obviously deduct the percentages ADIDAS get and it'd work out less.... United will easily sell millions of shirts with POGBA on the back and already have been doing before he even put pen to paper, so Adidas would see that £20M return easily. I'm not sure what money they make from sponsoring Pogba himself but I can imagine every time his image is used, they make a fair amount, I'm sure the publicity he's getting world wide now would rack a few pennies in?

Does assume though that every shirt is legit though :)

Just as a matter of interest if a plain shirt is £60 and a shirt with a name and number £75 who gets the £15 addidas, rags or does the player get a cut ? As no record of what name is printed seems to be kept
Genuinely interested

The shop I'd imagine.

Stop me if I have said this before. Here in SE Asia I have only seen genuine shirts on tourists. How any club can brag about shirt sales is a complete joke. The only people making money on shirt sales here are the back street sweatshops. I would be very suprised if they paid and money out on their sales of snide shirts. They eat nissen noodles so I guess that counts.
