The signing announcement being made whilst it was prime time in the USA and 9am in Beijing says it really....

Just realised I dislike Rio F. I don't actually dislike Rooney, just think he's not all that good now, and he's not very good-looking, but there's something about RF that gets my back up. Maybe the way in which he offers his opinion on all footballing matters, or his horrid Cockney inarticulacy, or his putting feelers out for the England job. And his putting down of City. Why do the media constantly ask him about footballing matters? He has wormed his way up to the top table of footballing commentators/advisors.
Am I being unfair?

No, hes a ****.

Does anybody still get the feeling before the season starts that all our new signings will turn out to be shite and those jammy twats will walk it? Before every season i get "the fear". It always subsides after the first game, but the build up to the season makes me feel sick

IMO this deal is about showing that United are still at the top table. It may or may not prove to be a sporting triumph but they are definitely buying for the here and now. Continued failure to reach and progress in the champions league has a gradual effect, as the football world attunes to the new world powers.

Meanwhile, Mourinho continues to generate publicity at a rapid rate of knots. He has Liverpool and Arsenal fans bouncing already, insinuating that they cannot match United. It makes for interesting headlines but has nothing to do with anything other than a very short termist approach.

signing pumbaa is not such great value - my bet is they are hoping to sell him on to real or barse and make some money- hope he gets a good knock first few games

Has the price they payed for Pogba dropped any lower today? By the time he get's his wish and fuck's off to his first choice Madrid in a few years they'd of paid 30 mil with 80 mil add-ons.
