We dodged a massive bullet with Pogba. The biggest reason he wouldn't fit is because he is not a hard worker, players working hard is not something Pep wants, its something he demands. This is the reason Yaya doesn't even make the bench, he simply gives too little defensively.
The rags are a joke, they pay a world record fee and then play him out of position haha Pogba has potential but needs to play in at least a midfield 3 with less defensive responsibilities. His time with the rags will probably stunt his growth.
Shrek is also holding them back, he's been under-performing for a few seasons now. Its wonderful to see him start every game, I'm convinced he has a clause that states he must start a certain number of games each season. He has a contract until 2019 and can only continue to decline! There's no chance he leaves before then, he's on crazy wages that nobody in their right mind would match. He's 33 (almost 34) at the end of his contract, maybe he retires and moves into a coaching role for them or if we're really lucky they give him an extension for lower wages, either way its a win-win.
Not making the top 4 will set them back even further. Before the season started I honestly believed that they would struggle to make the top 4 while others were claiming they are title contenders haha. I know its the beginning of the season but as time goes on the chances of them missing out are getting better and better. IMO Chelsea and City are a lock for the top 4. Chelsea has strengthened in the right areas, are playing well and have one of the best managers in the league, they also don't have European football which is a big advantage. IMO We will win the league. The other two spots will be contended by Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal, and the rags. Liverpool are currently playing well, they have a good squad with some quality attacking players, they also have no European football to worry about; if they are consistent they will make top 4.
Out of Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal, and the rags. The competition for the other two top 4 spots least favors the rags. Not only do they have an average first 11, the squad is average as well and those glorious Thursday nights will be a burden. I must admit I like Rashford but Kelechi is certainly better. Ibra is good but is over hyped as well, wasn't a threat at all yesterday (his goal was due to our mistake), he'll score against the lower table teams but will be neutralized against the top teams. Their defense is fragile and on a good day we would have scored at least 4 in the derby.
Jose is finished as a top manager, his time at Real has caused him psychological trauma. haha He went from being a manager who always defended his players to now openly criticizing them. Jose is hard headed and refuses to adapt his tactics. I'm surprised many think he will last more than one season. He has spent roughly £165 mil (£30 mil on Bailly, £25 on Micky, £110 on Pogba) and will be fired when they don't make top 4. I'm expecting him to last to season end at most. Its only September and he has already banished a world cup winner to the reserves, sent a number of youngsters with potential out on loan, frozen out Darmian, and blamed his players for the derby loss. The united way is alive and well. The dressing room will eventually crumble its inevitable IMO
The players will turn against him, its going to be a joy to watch.
