I think I understand where the rags are coming from after a few days reflection: They could have got a draw, and might even have won it had they got the pen and Bravo been sent off.
Just think about that: As that's how close they were to a point; a refereeing decision, and we have to admit they usually get those.
How many times over have they picked up one, two or three points more than they deserve over the past fifteen years due to a fluke, a defensive error, a fuck up by the opposition (as we supplied on Saturday) or a dodgy decision? Or goals scored by players who should have been off - a bit like Chelsea with that clown Costa.
We all see scrawpy wins as being part of football, but they've seen so many they don't even care that City were so much better (they'll even admit it); they just yearn for the dodgy decision and the flukey scuffed shot to gather the points. It's almost as though they now expect it by default.
Moyes was sacked because they were shite. The Turtle was sacked because they missed the top four; the style of football didn't enter into it. Maureen will be safe if they continue to scrape last minute wins against the likes of mighty Hull, and that's what makes them serious contenders: They expect the opposition to fuck up and they take advantage.
Quality means nothing to these clowns; only the results count. But if they have a few more poor results ie if Spuds, Arse, Dippers and Chavs turn them over, then even their slow-witted fans might start asking questions.
