According to Neil Custis they're lining up a £30 million bid for Drinkwater. That would take their spending to what? £120-£130 million on buying back their own players.
This gets funnier.
 
it will be interesting to see what team peggy puts out tonight, 'what does he do he's stuck in a room with no door' full strength and he exposes that he's desperate for a win, under strength and he risks losing either way i expect Northampton are not going to sit back it's their big day and they know there opponents are not functioning

madness, it makes you wonder if peg has set them up to drag them down a level or two, any chance he's still on the chelsea payroll
 
Surely Danny Simpson must be worth a punt? £35m should do it I reckon, pretty sure Bebe is available if the right offer comes in as well

Sadly all true but I believe we're at - or close to - a juncture now where things may change. People are rightly asking should they jettison Mourinho where will it leave them. The same applies to the media narrative. Unless he turns things around - or they eventually give the job to a club legend - it gives the press nowhere to go but negative and, crucially, with no scapegoat to lay the blame on.
 
Can we make an x1 of their ex players who would give their current very expensive squad a run for their money?

(Talk sport researchers please feel free to nick this if you are short of ideas)
