To be fair to him he has been playing since 16 most don't start playing proper until around 20. I can see him hanging up his boots when his contract goes rather than having to play for WBA or Stoke to get game time.
 
Just look at his dad to see he has not been blessed with a natural good physique, stubby, chunky, rounded. He likes a beer and cigs to. He has been goosed for at least 2 years now, as in an absolute liability to them. I think had he stayed healthy and not smoked and drank as he does he would have made it to now at least without looking like a pub player. When you are baked at 28-29 it doesn't look very professional when people know you smoke and drink. On the money he gets i would think not smoking to be rule numero uno, every time i wanted a cig i'd go count a pile of money :-D

It would be lovely if next time he shouts and swears at a ref said ref just cracks him hard leaving him out cold on the floor, play carries on, nobody helps him :-D
 
Lets be honest, if he wasn't white and english we'd all be declaring him an age cheat. Started early, completely broken down before 30. Not looked after himself at all and has been pandered to by everyone instead of forced to take a more professional path. Never got any better than he was at about 20, never learnt anything new, just got fatter and slower

I think Wazza to Everton is the height of lazy journalism! There is nothing in it. Everton are in a decent position with a good up and coming manager and an opportunity to make a push into the top 6 – to do that they need to keep the best players and bring up the level of quality through the squad, Rooney does nothing for those plans. Then you have Wazza himself with his massive wage packet and marketing deals. Why would he walk away from any of it, all he has to do is say he will fight for his place. He might end up on the bench for months on end but then still why take any sort of pay cut. Everton probably pay around £50k - £100k per week to their players Wazza would need to half his wages to even get close. I just don’t see why or how it could happen. Maybe in 12 or 18 months if nothing changes but I would imagine PEG will be long gone before Wazza.
 
I said a few months ago the Rooney would last longer than Mourinho, I expected it to be close though. Looks like Rooney will win by a landslide
 
Do we need a save ourPEGS thread yet? Not sure where we are in the scheme of things is it imminent that he is going to get the bullet or just speculation?

I went a bit far and should have said a local accent to include Salford etc.

They always used to say 'and now we have Goldie a United fan from London' but now always leave out the location as policy.

It makes for a good game of 'Guess the Accent'. At the swamp on Wednesday it was more a case of 'Guess the nearest airport'

Their Theatre of Dreams name for the swamp is now very apt as their football is so sleep inducing. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
