Sad, but true in all probability. He won't get banned
This is the Rags we are talking about. David Gill will sort this right out.
Nothing to see, move on
I think the reason that the bias appears much worse at this moment in time, is that its shit or bust for them at the moment. They cant afford to miss out on champions league again for this reason. The team is being carried by a 34 year old. Pogba has not shown anything like one hundred million pounds worth and the rest of the team are really average aside from their keeper.
Rooney, Carrick and Smalling are finished. Their are no balls left in the team, unlike previous years they have no strength in depth. Now they've been in 6th place for months now and can't climb, but the situation is that if they do not win they drop, away fro chumps league positions. This would be catastrophic. Ibra has already started to apply pressure, no chumps league no Ibra. They also need to rebuild, The fans want that, the club wants that and Jose will break if he doesnt get it. Adding to this, their youth policy cannot compete with our academy. Its fucked that is why they are trying to poach our scouts. Our academy is where the top kids want to be.
So should this season fall away, which big players are they going to attract they all want chumps league ? All the sports channels are talking about Yoonited like their lives depend on it, the referees are also fighting their corner, yesterdays game was nothing more than desperation and Ibra's suspension or lack of it will prove how desperate they really are.
Make no mistake they're working hard behind the scenes to stay where they are and not fall away. Tick Tock .
MOTD called it as it is last night as well (complete opposite of Sky's view) where the elbow was obviously meditated but it's difficult to say whether the kick to head was.I can just about buy the fact that the ref missed Ibrahimovic's elbow at the time. It's presumably pretty hard to keep an eye on everything that happens in a penalty area at a corner, and it was difficult to detect in real time.
However, the replays are conclusive and it will be a sham if he escapes a retrospective ban for it. It's all over the back pages (despite what the agenda-ists thought). Surely he'll be punished.
