keane was right in everything he said about them and i dont care what shite jose spouts out about the history and glory and the honour about winning it, its manure and its league titles and champions leagues they should be challenging for, not 4th place and europes second rate trophy.
Its the equivalent of a barcelona winning the europa league, would barca fans put up with winning that? not on your nelly son.

hopefully they wont lift the trophy but if they do, then you would have to say that 2 trophy wins in a season and the 26 game unbeaten run will be deemed as success for a united side in transition since 2013 and a net spend of over half a billion pounds.
Why should they?

No team has a God-given right to win stuff.

It really isn't. Only people who don't watch games can surely take such a deranged "just look at the table at the end of the year" approach?

It is two different arguments and is scary how some can't see it. If it is about entertainment and footballing styles I would rather watch us all day every day. If at the start of the season you was given these two options then I would imagine 99% of people would say yeah I'd take two cups and a CL position over no trophies and 3rd at best.

Reading some headlines online linking Lukaku to Man Utd. You know who his agent is?

They'll walk the EL and unfortunately that will make it a very good season for them.
I'd swap our disappointing season of 3rd or 4th place for a League Cup, Europa League win and a CL place in a heartbeat.

Would you though if it meant playing that football and showing absolutely no sign of progression?

I'm sure we could have won something had we treated this season like they did.

On paper their season is better, but in reality we are the club showing signs of progression and development.

I know what you mean, i've absolutely loved some of our play this season and laughed at how awful Utd look at times but whilst it's not just about winning trophies, there's no point in playing pretty football if you don't win anything.

Agreed, but for me you can see a clear vision and way forward for us.
Pep starts next season looking to improve a few obvious flaws and improve our squad. On our day we still look the best team in the league and can match anyone currently and will hopefully improve.

Regardless of what they win, they will start next season as the sixth best team in the league and in terms of football a mile behind.
PEG basically needs to start again.

On paper Arsenal could win the FA Cup and scrape 4th, is that a better season than Spurs?
But in reality they're miles behind Spurs.

I think the gap between United and the top teams is as great as it's been for a long while, a floodlight cup & a back door entrance can't hide their clear deficiencies!

Maureen special brand of turgid football has been nothing short of dreadful, but for some reason (clear to everyone and their dog) they are where they are in the table, and not languishing around mid-table having just saved themselves from relegation.

F**k em' - CNUT'S!
