Here is a little gem from the Caf regarding Pep.

he SHOULD have gone for a team outside the 3 you mentioned. Imagine if he'd gone to Arsenal or Spurs and won the league this season, there would have been no disputing he's the real deal. I would completely change my opinion about him. Poch managed to get to 2nd so if PG is supposedly a vastly superior manager, it stands to reason and not impossible that he could've won the title with Spurs. He would've been an instant legend at White Hart Lane.. But now, even if he won the Quad at City, which he could well do but unlikely, it would still be a bit meh. Until he really shows his true mettle, he'll never be a great for me!

For starters, we finished 4th before Pep joined us so we were a team outside of the top 4, the two teams that he states he should have gone to in order to prove himself finished 2nd & 3rd that year. I also missed out the comment where they said the only 3 teams with any aspirations to win the league are Us, Chelsea and them. Completely disregarding Spurs, Arsenal and the dippers who have all finished ahead of them last season.

They live in their own little world don't they.

I don't think the media or anyone outside of the club and us, realise exactly what Pep has been
trying to do here. Ie change the whole way the the teams play and the way the players think about the game.
Well maybe they do, but conveniently forget about that, when it's time to criticise.

Let it sink in utd, the very first day of the window you got told to swivel from your number 1 target. It really is worth a giggle or two is that fact hahahahahha. The second Athleti said 'stay here lad' he has done just that and obviously has a deep affection for the club. There is a big BUT here and that is utd are supposed to pull of these deals, they are a big club right, why was his head not turned? could it be you are seen as a second tier club now, surely not ;-)

I used to daydream of these days (utd well under our boot) as a kid never expecting them to happen but they have, oh life is sweet.

Every single blue who goes on their summer jollies is free from any big gobbed utd fans at a bar and i thank our management for that. I shook my fist at them over letting the media ride rough shod over us but like a kid being made to wait, they enjoy the end result more.

I know it is is an added bonus to our dealings and other clubs but still, it makes me feel fuzzy inside haha. Khaldoon and Soriano + Txiki and Pep have not messed around behind the scenes and it is paying off now. Utd on the other hand are not in great shape all round.
