United (A) - League Cup SF Post-Match Thread

is it me, listening to the interview with ole they won the second half, we won the first. Does that means its a draw? Have the rules changed?

We are only half way through the tie having won 1 half, we might win another half, but if it goes to extra time each half of that is a 1/3 of a half, well anyway They are only a fraction as good as us !

Dean’s officiating was a disgrace last night, he gave the scum everything and us nothing. It was like playing Barcelona in that respect. Fortunately the scum were too inept to take advantage. MDIAC

The sheer gulf in quality in the first half yesterday was something to behold. Even during our worst days I can't recall such a one-sided 45 minutes in a derby. We could/should have been at least five up at the break. It was an absolute joy to watch.
First half at home in the 2 - 3 of the centurions season was an absolute beatdown, with a somewhat watered down first 11 (did we have Monaco in CL next game?). That's the only other time i can remember us beating the shit out of them so much that i felt a teeeeeeny weeeeeny bit sorry for them, learnt from my fucking mistake that time though!

Haven't read all 82 pages so apologies if already covered but I've been reading in the media about Tommy Doyle and Bellis-Taylor being in the crowd with the City fans last night. What I haven't seen reported is the fact that Zinchenko was in with us too, sat just near us with his Mrs. Anyone else see him?

how many of the united players gets into this city squad

not even DDG would and his touted as the best goalkeeper of the decade in the premier league

Thoroughly enjoyable game. Just a shame we didn't get seven.

I do find it amusing that Solskjaer and pundits have been convincing themselves that we were only better than them for around the 30 minute period between our first and third goals. Prior to that, their midfield was absent, the forwards clueless and the defenders struggling to progress the ball upfield. The second half was simply a case of us taking it easy.

Either De Gea or Romero would presumably get into our squad ahead of Bravo?
