United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

One team really wanted it, one didn’t. Only positive, if Tuchel was watching, Foden will get a good rest in the summer. That could very easily have been six.

Embarrassing. Without Donna and Khusanov it would have been a massacre. Genuinely every City player was terrible bar those two. Imagine taking of Haaland, Foden and Doku but keeping Rico Lewis on the pitch for 95 minutes. Attacking with O'Reilly and Air Nouri for 15 minutes on the left. What's Pep doing man.

Lewis isn’t the problem. The real issue is that the club failed to sign defenders and full-backs when we clearly needed them. Instead, we kept buying attacking players, a position where we already have plenty of options. In my opinion, that’s poor prioritization from the sporting leadership. And now we’re paying the price for those decisions. Panicking and trying to fix it in the January window doesn’t help, when this problem has been obvious for a long, long time.

People need to fuck off with this bullshit narrative that we’re lacking players.

We lost to the better side today, that happens.

But to be demolished in this manner, without creating a decent chance with the likes of Semenyo, Foden, Cherki, Doku and Haaland on the pitch is nothing to do with players and all to do with having a dog shit tactical plan.

Best team won unfortunately which makes me even more angry.

Absolutely diabolical tactics and performance. The manager and players (with the exception of one) should be fucking ashamed of themselves with that crap. Awful.

Even before the takeover we used to give them a game and often beat the horrible bastards. The press will be giddy over this performance but we all know that they will be back to their normal self next weekend
We made it hard for them and were solid with effort. As soon as we didn't have control of that game, Rico had to come off and we had to go big tough and rugged at the back, soak up pressure and chance it on counter. We created absolutely fuck all playing the city way, we need a strong back line to do so.

Well I'm glad they didn't beat us by 3 because the last time that happened was 1995. That's all I've got though!
I switched off after Mount scored and didn't realise it had been ruled out. Almost softened the blow knowing that it was only 2-0. Could've been an even bigger pasting if we're being honest.
