He still.hasnt learned that the counter attack is our kryptonite. It beggers belief. I could see a mile away what united were going to do and with the make shift back four they needed more protection and rodri needed help. Terrible tactics and terrible decsion not to alter it. This is the pep that i cant stand, arteta knows it and plays accordingly. You need 2 holding mids against that otherwise your midfield is far to open and your high line is suicide.
 
No hiding place after that shambles ... knew we were in trouble with our starting back four that had only ten Premier League starts combined all season ... Ake hung out to dry as patently unfit but why was he not subbed at half time ? So obvious especially with Ait Nouri on the bench ... some players look 'gassed' but that can't justify our lack of fight and cowardice possession ... special mention for our set pieces today which were abysmal and borderline incompetent - professional footballers who can't get the ball off the ground ... positives were Donna savin us a scoreline hiding while Khus, Bernardo & Doku at least stayed in the losing fight while others hid ... absolutely gutted but we will bounce back ... I'm sure of it ... get bodies back, absorb the hurt and onwards we go ...

Say fifty years of which we have been out of the top flight for five years. That’s 90 league games before cup games, so doable.

Could have all been wins as well

Defensively we are buying a player from Crystal Palace, RAN is back from ACON Nunes had flu will be back sooner rather than later

So, we could field
Nunes Khus Guehl RAN a huge difference from the starting back four today

Dias is a few weeks off

That's why I think he'll be off in the summer, been totally found out now
 
I don't care how tired Haaland is, there was a point second half where Martinez just shrugged him off and won the ball.

That shouldn't happen however fkin tired he is - have some bloody fight and pride.

You can fairly say he needs a rest, but if anyone at any other club put in performances like he has for the last 4 or so games they'd be getting dropped, not rested.

The free-kick Cherki took was dreadful - not just for it having no pace and flighted directly at united's biggest player, but organisationally what the fuck was going on? How did they have a 4v2 break? A pathetic challenge by Cherki when he needed to win the ball or make a foul at the very least - I think he maybe showed why Foden has been picked ahead of him (despite being poor) with that.

But mostly it's Pep's fault. He picked this team. He had them playing the high line with Ake in it. Made it hard for ourselves today and we weren't up to it.

Yes I agree he been inconsistent for a while that combined with our striker the same it’s worrying!
What’s also worrying is where did that rag performance come from hope they don’t keep that up

We need to try Nouri now even though early signs were not great.

Guehi will bring some much needed experience.

We need to buy some proper full backs though. We can’t keep expecting miracles with this side.

Foden should not have started any of our last few games and he definitely should not start away from home. Today he looked scared he would get shouted at by the RyanAir mob, hence he took the easy option every time, he went missing.
